Bannu Suicide attack at Tochi scouts line, 4 personnel martyred, 18 injured

BANNU Dec 24 (APP): At least four Tochi scouts personnel were martyred and up to 18 injured when a suicide bomber ripped through the Tochi Scouts Lines located on bannu Kohat Road on early Saturday

According to police, a suicide bomber rammed an explosives-laden vehicle Tochi Scouts Line building, martyring at least four soldiers and injuring another 18.

The death toll from the suicide attack may rise further given the critical condition of some of the injured personnel, eyewitnesses feared.

Ambulances and Law enforcement agencies have arrived on the site of suicide attack and under strict cordon, are ensuring uneventful transportation of injured security men to hospital.

Police said they have kicked off search operation in the areas adjacent to the site of attack, adding that the Tochi Scout Line is presenting complete obliteration look.

Police added that further investigations are underway.

Suicide attack kills 9 troops in Bannu

BANNU: A suicide car bomb attack at the main office of the Tochi Scouts' Kohat Road in Bannu killed nine Frontier Corps (FC) soldiers and wounded at least 17 others on Saturday.

The attack took place in Bannu city where the bomber targeted the camp office of the paramilitary FC troops, who are deployed in North Waziristan, which borders Afghanistan.

Police sources said the bomber drove his explosives-packed vehicle into the FC building and destroyed the check post near it. The camp office was also damaged in the attack.

Initially five FC personnel were killed but later the toll mounted to nine as the bodies were recovered from the debris. 17 other personnel were also injured in the attack. The injured were shifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH).

Investigation so far has revealed that at least 200 kg of explosives were used in the blast.

The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) have claimed responsibility for the attack.

The US ambassador was reaching out to these thugs during the Swat operation and no surprise that once we have blocked the US supplies suddenly these attacks are back.
TTP are sub human vermin , a band of bandits and brigands , that’s all they know and will induldge in such acts for who ever hires them.
