Guys, i was giving a thought to how T-50 would have been useful for PAF.

Keeping into account, the design is extremely low RCS one and the only flaw it has is the exposed engine body underside which radiates heat so compromising its stealthines.

This discussion is solely for “WHAT-IF” discussion and not that “Pakistan have AZM” “wE maKe jF-35 stAalth” “kia zarurat hai iski jab J-20 le sakte hain”.

Nope !!!

Russia is a money bi**h. You show her some money, try to get 24-30 SU-57 and it may even get interested to get on tables wayy more than you since they have lost a lost of cash solely on the program and in dire need of customers.

We should also IGNORE the timely drawbacks of the jet mainly relating to its prospected engine which is not ready yet and thus facing some capability gap against similar in category such as F-22.

However, it is not much behind J-20 as far as avionics are concerned !!!

Russia has a good experience on engines and it will come soon with the new engine, just like China will.

SU-57, apart from all that, is quite cheaper than other 5th Gen fighters and costs around $76mn (unconfirmed).

Russia just sold S-400 to india as well as turkey.

Putin also took erdogan to an air show organized for him of a T-50 performing as well as static display !!!

no bro its too early to say that Russia is welling to sell big ticket items to Pakistan, we are just started our warm relation with Russia, its take time to develop a trust between two countries, so there are least chance to get SU-57
and for the stealth design it is worst among all the 5th generation jets, Even J-20 is far more than finishing

I said, keeping aside all politics and other strings, just as a fighter, how would SU-57 work out for us in terms of capabilities, ToT, maintenance, usability and optimization.

No Chance, and not consider an option by PAF right now, if we will go to buy 5th gen jet off the shelf it would be FC-31 not Su-57

Yaar may be few in Africa, there were Fight between Ethiopia/Erterian air force and Su-27 were used by Ethiopian air force against Erterian air force Mig-29, you should read Su-27 article on Wikipedia

I very much doubt the Paf going with russia on a 5th gen program---. They have already established parameters of working with the chinese---where there is mutual understanding of what the other party needs to do to be successful towards a common goal---.

A team has already been built---there is no reason to disturb that relationship---.

The chinese need to develop their product further and there is no one better equipped than the pakistanis to test it---.

Going with Russians would be against the Diversification plans of the Pak Military, and not to mention the strategic partnership they have with China. I highly doubt Pakistan will go for any big tickets items from Russia.

Russian will not share ToT or any critical Technology like every other customer , Project AZM will incorporate JF-17 , TFX and J-31/J-20 .

The Su-57 is an inferior product compared to J20/F22/Tempest. Furthermore Pakistan does not need some massive air superiority fighter that costs tons to maintain and fly. An advanced jet with high maneuvering capability, thrust vectoring, super cruise and a second to none electronic warfare suite along with adequate weapon hard points is all we need. Full spectrum warfare against an idiot nation like India requires you to just confuse their imported planes and sensors and then let them shoot each other down.
