Su-34. Deadliest tactical strike planes in the world.

I am sorry for the wrong information I used because of the user Austin Powers. SU-34 can pull 9 Gs max, according to Sukhoi own website. Sorry for believing Austin Powers wrong figures.

This was my point from the beginning:

While the Su-34 is capable of air-to-air combat in an emergency, the Fullback is a strike aircraft.

Most reputable website tout the SU-34 as highly maneuverable.

SU-34s are the best strike fighter because in an emergency, they can do this.

your source says probably, and your previous post said that if ALL SU-27/30/35/MIG-29 than SU-34 can take air superiority mission @zectech

The sources are Russian and Lebanese media outlets.

I am not the only one who believes the SU-34 can be multirole:

I’ll take a different route to answer the question. Since Su-34 was developed to be a strike fighter, it would be accompanied with fighters configured for air superiority. As a standalone asset, the Su-34 can defend itself from other fighters thanks to its Flanker based design. For this it just needs to carry some AAMs. Usually strike fighters carry AAMs only for self defense but yes they can switch over to the required role as soon as the need arises.

If their ALL AIR DEFENSE JET WILL DESTROYED (in particular/specific conditions) THEN Su-34 would take over Air superiority missions BUT FIRST MISSION FOR Su-34 IS/WILL BE STRIKE SECONDARY AIR SUPERIORITY MISSION, JUST LIKE F-15E HAS CAPABILITY TO CARRY AMRAAM BUUT IT WONT CARRY IT MAIN MISSION OF F-15E IS STRIKE NOT AIR SUPERIORITY, F-15C/D MAIN MISSION IS AIR SUPERIORITY, and BOTH ARE MULTI ROLE FIGHTER JETS YOU KNOW @zectech

The SU-34 radar for air to air combat is comparable to the range of SU-27s, so they are not so great, but sub-par like first variants of the SU-27 multirole fighters. SU-30SMs and SU-35s are better that is why they are the first line air superiority/multirole fighters. SU-34 are not as all-round as good as SU-27s, a tad below the old SU-27s. But does not have the guts inside to be a dedicated air superiority fighter. SU-34 can fill the role because SU-34 has the capabilities of nearly SU-27s, but the Russians don't want to lose any in air combat, so the better equipped SU-35s and soon to be released Mig 35s are better suited to air superiority and defending the SU-34s.

Much of the specs on the SU-34 is nearly identical to the super maneuverable multirole SU-27s.

If people look into the older F-16s and compare them to SU-34s, perhaps they will find the SU-34s and the SU-27s (radar) are better than than older F-16s in terms of range, making the SU-34s radar partly better than F-16 block D for air to air combat. But the Russians have vastly superior weaponry than SU-34, so the Russian keep the SU-34 for strike role only. This discussion on SU-34s makes me appreciate the Russian planes even more. Even though most produced and producing are PESA radars. Though I came across PESA can have an advantage in searching for stealth, why is that due to speed of the radar scanning or something?.

Su-34's radars/senors/avionics is more optimized toward strike/CAS/SEAD and DEAD missions rather than Air defense, PESE/or AESA is doesn't matters, its frequency that matters, today Most of pulse Doppler/AESA/PESA using X band frequency (better resolution) for get a lock but for stealth jets they haven't enough range to detect Stealth target early, For detect stealth target Early S and L bands is using (S band is being used on various Naval ships) Su-57 using 2 L band AESA to detect Stealth targets but can't get a lock because of low resolution against stealth targets @zectech

The Majestic Su-34 DOGFIGHTS Its Cousin, the Su-27

Needless to say, it's nearly a fair fight.

https://sputniknews.com/videoclub/201509221027346610-su34-bomber-dogfights-su27-fighter/

In comparing the SU-27s and SU-34s, the one area of concern for the SU-34 is dogfighting the super maneuverable SU-27, and SU-34 nearly performs as well as the SU-27 in one outing. At longer range/BVR battles the SU-34 might defeat the air superiority SU-27s, they both have 'dated older radars', either due to age or focus on strike mission.

And for dogfight are nearly a fair fight between the two, the SU-27s and SU-34. SU-27s are so maneuverable they can perform the Pugachev's Cobra. There is no comment anywhere if the SU-34 can perform this, maybe in Russian there is.

The Mig 31s would lose to the SU-27s in dogfighting because Mig 31 are interceptors for only long distance shoot downs of mainly bombers and CAS aircraft and AWACS planes, etc.

If they are dogfight trials and they can hold up against super maneuverable, you are dealing with with a silent and un-applauded jet fighter. SU-34 has the ability to be a jet fighter, but is used mainly for strike missions.

The Russians are mixed up in they say the Russians are never going to use the SU-34 for air superiority because they have SU-35s, SU-27s and other fighter jets. Then they dogfight their own SU-34s against their air superiority SU-27s to test the SU-34s defenses and air superiority ability. So the Russians themselves send mixed messages.

Clearly what the SU-34 is:

Strike
Fighter-bomber
Tactical Warfare
CAS
Naval bomber
Attack aircraft
Interceptor

and is case of last resort a air superiority fighter.

That is one heck of a list, making the SU-34 one of the best fighters in the world because they can pull their wight doing nearly everything on the list. The only big thing SU-34s can't do is drop nukes. I would like a variant that can match SU-35s in BVR air combat and keep everything else.

BTW, for those who want to do investigating, here is the photographic evidence of the SU-34 chasing away the F-16 over the skies of Lebanon. The photo was taken near Tripoli, Lebanon and the watchers and eye witnesses only took photos of the Russian aircraft chasing away the F-16s. F-16s are easy to identify.

Can you identify the Russian aircraft:

photo_2018-05-27_20-21-56.jpg

If the photo is of an SU-34, then the story is true. If not then some other Russian fighter chased away the F-16s. I believe the Lebanese eyewitnesses that the event took place.

Maneuverability/agility is limited as compare to Su-27, Air intakes are fixed which means lower top speed and worst kinetic energy performance then Su-27 hence Su-34 can't stand against top notch Air superiority jets like F-15/Su-27 @zectech

These are much better critiques than from Austin Powers. Thanks.
