The good news is the deal will likely keep the Lockheed's F-16 plant in Fort Worth running perhaps a year longer.

Not only that! The US of A will now be richer by $4 billion!! Which would provide jobs to 20,000 Americans! Never mind if the Iraqis can't fly those f-16s!! 'It's the money, stupid!!!' (Bill Clinton's famous line!).

They could have bought more than three times fully equipped Mig-35 with that price.

That's because Iraqis had no option but to pay the US through their noses for the war conducted. $165 million..! Hell! if they had waited for a decade more, they could have bought 15-20 FGFAs with that kind of price tag. But then again, the Iraqi government isUS-hand picked so naturally they will choose whatever US has to offer them. This is criminal extreme of capitalist mentality (a bit too much that is; not condemning capitalism).

In this price tag, They could have easily bought F-18, F-15 even F-35. Highly expensive price and that also not so worth when they will face Typhoon/Rafale/F-15/F-18. Total waste of money in buying decade old 4th Generation technology when 4.5th are there in same price.
