Stealthy JF-17 might have been under development in CAC

I remember there was a discussion on a jf-17 variant having stealth features few years a back. A former F-16 pilot Parvez Shamim (was also a think tank on this forum) mentioned that PAC and CAC were working on it since the beginning of the project. He also mentioned some interesting bits about the forthcoming variant.

The recent revelation by CAC may lead to that perhaps

But sir if their will be plan to develop stealth plane, it will be not related to JF-17 because it will be structurally and mechanically different from JF-17, but it will be based upon JF-17 and will be totally whole new project

1. Canopy

3 leading edges
4. other surfaces such as landing gear doors and radar nose cone joint

Vertical tail is not a big deal for semi stealth. Rafale also has vertical tail. Frontal aspect is important and with minor modifications it is possible with little or no structural changes to existing airframe.

J31 which is lower end and will be for export market.

The j10 was their high end 4th generation fighter project which is avialable for export

The thunder was the lightweight low end project specifically designed for Pakistan.

If they are helping you further develope the thunder to add airframe improvements or better radars or ew suites etc that makes sense.

But those suggesting a massive redesigned thunder with internal weapons bays and fifth generation technology are way off the mark and don't understand the huge complexity in changing a fighter.

If paf wants affordable low cost it will be thunders with minor improve ments.

If paf wants state of the art top end it will be j10 now until 2024 or j31 after this date

Anything else does not exist and is bordering fantasy which a senior guy like Oscar or mastan will confirm

They have been pushing J10 without luck as yet

next decade the J31 will compete with euro canards and late model F16 and of course the F35

i don't think so fiber mat can be use in JF-17 so block -3 is more like F-16 block 60 in a small version like gripen and other aircraft and there is no stealthy version of JF-17 but there is J-31 so its not JF-17 or what ever you want to call it
so stop dreaming and acept reality ....about those testing of J-31 does it matter that J-31 should be tested here?coz R&D facility is in china . pakistan only have production facility for jf-17 .pakistan can send their enginer to gain expirence thats it
.......pakistan should learn and produce radars with their own R&D for air borne and SAM and RAM composites


if pakistan wants stealthy version of jf-17 then jf-17 have to re-desgin and develop it from zero so guys please get real

Sir, at the least a few countries from the ME will want this. The second Israel gets the F-35, many countries with money would want it as its the next best thing. The US won't be selling the -35 to the ME region. Thanks
