actually they can if the Pvt industries are given the license to these tech.. Most of them are closed to th epvt Industry however, a mechanism should be create so that the pvt players cannot store sensitive tech but should have access to them (Something like a complex created by the govt. and letting the pvt players to come in and develop things there itself)

More Stealthy version,this version will be as stealthier that the project itself will never be visible.

Excuse:Im not against LCA ,but against the DRDO babus.

They r not always reasponsible. Its gov. no not gov but so called NETAS who do not provide finance. i dont thing the strength of people is more at the drdo. there r always problems of lack of staff or finance. In building indegenious plane at last stage gov told to use turboget instead turboprop or propellers. which affect the project worst. the upper post r always filled up by "Chamchas" who use goody words for the people. no surprice of saraswat. need better things we can not purchase missiles from foreign and see drdo has made world class missiles of varities.... if appropriate finance given mark 3 can even fly within few years.

THE PAF are planning to do the very same with JFT

AND I THINK the chinease will move J10 to block b & block c

BUT PLZ dont confuse this with a stealth upgrade.

IMO the bench MK3 TEJAS should be com,parable to the GRIPEN NG which the swedes claim is a 4th++ FIGHTER

MK2 TEJAS X 100 planes 4th gen gripenc/d type
MK3 envisdaged 4TH gen ++ gripen ng type

Yes india took 29 years to develope TEJAS and even this carries USA engine & israeli tech in cockpit//////

has been in existence since 1947 THATS 65 years they are yet to develope a HELICOPTER let alone a real war plane like TEJAS.
