Audacious ?? LOL it is preposterous.. the structure of LCA was never designed for stealth as such.. So we know saraswath is trolling those conference attendees

Its not been built from the ground up to meet those standards. All "actual" stealth has been purpose built..

reallyy, how u know that??? stealth is not something sci-fi, there are studies done in the field of stealth, which includes angles of the outer body and the material it is made of. it is not something very hard and on organisation like drdo with 9000 scientists and 3 billion budget has about 20 bill doll of projects at hand. do u think they cant find ways to get this tech.. if u think so ur an idiot...

Try to achieve the position where he's now, before maligning him. Arjun and Tejas as met all the predefined parameters, blame the fickle-mindedness our Army and Air force for changing their evaluation criteria at the last moment. DRDO is already making many world class products at a strict budget constraint.

DRDO also makes many subsystems for our navy, have we heard any fowl cry from their end?

LCA was mainly seen as Mig-21 replacement and for the number game. Stretching it beyond Mk II is not worth it.

dude tejas is indian first effort to build a fighter interceptor plane. it took china 18 yrs to build j10 of similiar class. once they built it more planes followed qucikly. now we have almost mastered tejas and its avionics in 15 yrs. mk2, mk3, amca, trainers now will come quickly before u think.

its just liike hal dhruv which took india 15 yrs to make and lch took only 30 months and it has some stealth with all composite body and pretty good shape.

Actually IMO, what DRDO propose is, it will try out certain features of stealth like RAM coatings etc (as a test bed for AMCA ) and finally when AMCA is being built these info can be directly used. In short modularization/ parallelization of work

I think we should complete Tejas even if we acquire 4-6 squadrons only and spend more on AMCA, but AMCA development would not be that easy, we are struggling with 4+ gen fighter, we can't take a leap and develop 5th gen in a decade. Better to focus on FGFA, learn from it and apply so that we can role out AMCA after 2022 or 2025. We need Tejas for stop gap.
