As the currency is devaluing the state bank moves to coin. The life of a currency note is 2-3 years whereas life of coin is 10 years.

Its rather the depreciation of physical notes, people use the small denominations in carefree mannar which puts more pressure on printing press in the shape of soiled,mutilated notes. Coins are more durable in such cases. And Coins are issued by GoP's mint , NOT SBP. Coins are the property of GoP and basic means of exchange value of term "will pay on demand" written on Currency notes (which are a liability of SBP)
