Nice suggestion however, isn't it dangerous to release the drone as it is risky and might give away the location of the sub itself?

However, if this problem can be sorted out then the same drone can be used as a kamakzi drone programmed to hit the propeller and engine of the P8 which will cripple the P8 itself. And there is no need of SAM as SAM for sure will result in giving up the location of sub and in case of failure of SAM sub will be at mercy of P8.

perhaps there could be a delay in the uav breaching the surface or the uav container moving far enough away from the location of the submarine before it breaches to mask the location of the submarine.

The drone will probably be too small and too slow to cause significant damage to a MPA or ASW helicopter. Besides, these aircraft will have sensors to warn them of an approaching object, which is why a fast moving Sam missile like the Hisar-O from up to 25 km away (and up to 50k in altitude) can be a real game changer.

The drone would probably only be released, when the sub suspects it has been detected, in which case, it’s only a matter of minutes before the MPA or ASW Helicopter releases depth charges or torpedos over the right spot. If the drone is up in the air and the communication buoy is deployed, the sub can get a firing solution quickly and take down the aircraft faster then the aircrafts torpedos can get to the sub. The sub will then have to use soft and hard kill torpedo defenses and Evasive maneuvers To escape from any torpedos inbound.

If you are so confident share me some article saying that sub can't detect aircraft and then I will name the sensors capable to detect aircraft.

The Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) of the ARES-2SC/P Submarine Electronic Support (ES) System manufactured for the second submarine PNS/M Khalid as part of the modernization of Agosta-90B Class Submarines of the Pakistan Navy were successfully completed in the last quarter of 2019 at Aselsan’s Gölbaşı Campus with the participation of an acceptance delegation composed of the representatives of Pakistani Naval Forces and the Main Contractor STM. Within the scope of the Project, Factory Acceptance Tests of the first ARES-2SC/P Submarine ES System (for PNS/M Hamza Submarine) were completed in June and system was delivered in the second half of 2018. Integration of the ARES-2SC/P to the PNS/M Hamza Submarine was completed in November 2019 and system was successfully run. Port and Sea Acceptance Tests of the PNS/M Hamza Submarine will be executed in 2020.

Prof. Chi makes note of the comparative weaknesses of diesel submarines. However, he explains that very significant US air ASW assets are quite reliant on radar detections of submarines on or near the ocean surface, the report said.

Against nuclear submarines, therefore, he concludes that the air asset ASW search is “如‘大海捞针’一样难” [as difficult as fishing a needle from the vast ocean].

In price of 1 nuclear sub we can have more than 4highly advance and capable AIP sub. As our prime enemy lives next door and range ia not an issue
