I too reside in Srinagar near airport & IAF AB.we are used to these flying noises but since few days this is not routine neither it is some drills,it is we have never heard such activity of IAF.It seems there is some sort of preparation going on,definitely something is cooking up

Both PLAAF and PAF have been Using Skardu and Hotan AB for Shaheen Exercises in the Past. I will not be surprised if both airforces dont have their personnel deployed in each others respective bases currently.

If I recall correctly, they sound that alarm whenever they see an air threat, primarily for their pilots. Srinagar airport doubles as an airbase. Something spooked them for sure. If it was for the whole city it would be louder I think but I can't tell.

Let's hope they're Pakistani ones and not haqeeqat tv's favourite country's ones.
