Sri Lanka 'wants to host IPL matches'

Recently SL fans are less interested about Cricket, SL team needs to win few more matches to gain the popularity back. May be SLC wants to do something.

I think we should have Sri-lankan, Bangladeshi and Pakistani clubs in the IPL too. The domestic player pool should be expanded to include cricketers from the entire region. Teams should be allowed to bid for domestic cricketers from within this pool. Instead of looking at this as a particular country, they should treat them as what they are, clubs which can hire from any of these countries.

The entire region is cricket mad and can generate good revenues for their respective teams as well as the players.

so , what next , if BCCI won't host IPL matchs in lanka the sports minister in lanka won't allow the lankan players to play in IPL..

I don't see an issue with IPL in SL. By all means SL, push for it.
