Countries are not run by "views and opinions". It is run by what is supposed to be and what is to be done in a given situation. Criticizing the anti-national elements now has become "extremist" is it? Such is the "opinion" of those who are weak and cannot digest the realities.

what's wrong with you? Sri Lanka has right to allow or reject any proposal. Why should we allow such thing which effect to Sri Lankan fishermen?? If there are too much Indian fishermen and running out their catch then TN state government's responsibility to introduce new jobs for them.

I agree with that Srilanka has right to allow or reject any proposal, no second taught in it.

Having said this it seems that 1974 accord is be viewed in the way it suits each country,
i don't think India would have a missed to add a clause of fishing on that side of the water in the accord(Since it being a basic livelihood of the people in that region and since almost a century and before).

But this would be left to talked between the government rather than plain speaking over here which creates more hatred against each other than a solution.

We already cancelled visa on arrival for security reasons and also all activities of some selected countries strictly monitored in Sri Lanka.

We know how to protect our sovereign very well.

There will be many strict security related restrictions in the future to selected some

Boy Srilanka is not the world. As long as we are tolerant U enjoy, besides the on arrival visa was cancelled as there will be income from that. Previously U couldn afford tourisim due to civil war , now the war is over ur Govt is doing the right thing.

Indian fishermen haven't fishing right, even the Mr. Krishna mentioned about it. There is mentioning about drying net in those days, I don't think people are drying nets at night. You guys are talking about rights then when our fishermen cross the borders they get arrested for weeks. Don't cross the borders, respect to another countries border line and its fishermen's right.

Meanwhile 76 more Sri Lanka fishermen who were arrested for entering Indian territorial waters remain in custody.

why were they arrested??? I guess next time IN will just shoot them..
