Good point! I wanted to someone ask this from me :D
why should we give police and land powers to a one ethnic in a specific area while almost half of that ethnic living in other provinces?

.
Someone please tell me what are the discriminations in srilankan constitution wrt its tamil population if any ? I am not interested in some incidents where minority has been treated unfairly .. Theoritically is there any discrimination ?

so Police and land powers which are missing for Tamils in Sri Lankan constitution?

mate, We are Sri Lankans, we can go from one end to other end in our country very short of time. But Indian system is differ and you guyz are living in blocks which has divided by various reasons. You may be get hero feeling in Tamilnadu block then when you go to another block I don't think you get the same experience. I do have Indian friends, they share these things and issues out there in block to another block of living. But This is unique to India, I doubt any Indian can understand the feeling and the experience living in a "REAL whole country".

When has it not tried playing the "China-Pakistan card" ever?

They started playing this game right during 71 war and to this date, do so. It is only we Indians and especially us non-south Indians who fail to respect the sensitivities of our fellow countrymen down there. They are our people too and we must prioritize their needs and demands more than any kangroo goverment's whims that are not even a part of our country.

By needs, I don't mean pander to idiotic regionalist politicians but instead understand and work for the people.

Its India who has played double games with Sri Lanka.

First being neutral in Sri Lankan civil war, then getting involved and getting badly beaten up and withdrawing, then turning against the Tamils, then siding with them and then refusing to sell Arms to Sri Lankan Army.

Sri Lankans had to come to Pakistan to get arms to finally finish off the LTTE.

Ah well, another ally for Pakistan and another enemy for India.

At last count, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal and China were all adversaries of India.

Only the military dictatorship of Burma is allied with the so called largest democracy on earth. LOL :D

Are you kidding?

Read up on Sri Lankan Civil War.

Pakistan sold Sri Lankan Army machine guns and especially rocket launchers which devastated LTTE positions before Sri Lankan Army moved in.

Pakistani Arms were a game changer in Sri Lankan civil war.

Sl startedthe game by trying to send all tamils, underthe pretext of sending indian tamils and continued in 1971 war...
We tried to help them in 1987 but SL cunning president then supplied arms to LTTE.. u know that?
u can forget Nepal... They know without us, they cant do anything...

Muslim countries help other muslim countries in war(arab - israeli war), christian countries helping another christian countries in fighting(eg south sudan, east timor)...
Only india is an nation who have not helped indian origin peoples (eg Fiji and Sri lanka)...
If it had been Christian or white peoples, US and UK would have invaded and destroyed that nation

there were more games then one could possibly imagine. india armed and trained the LTTE so that the tamils would get their separate state and the tamils in india would be happy as many were pro LTTE the blunder came when india sent it forces against the very tamils it had trained. rather then picking side it. it picked one then the other. the tamils were apparently too well trained and supplied and over 1000 soldiers lost their lives before the srilankan govt asked india to leave with its forces and thus india still gave srilanka weapons and now when the LTTE are defeated and the srilankan govt has complete control o dont think they will be doing any amendments when they didn t do at the height of LTTE power....

you know the one thing that surprises me the LTTE had their country they had their conquered land why were they so hard on the local people that the people started fighting against them. it wasnt only well training and well supplied that kept the LTTE in power it was local support of the tamils that allowed them to beat the forces of india and srilanka the very moment the support shifts boom they r finished
