Hey buddy, one of my friend is in Srilanka and told me about Indian investment/work in Srilanka Railways. Can you post some info about that too ? May be a separate thread if it is in detail. Hope there will be thread on discussion on Indian investment in Srilanks in all areas.Sri Lanka is already assembling Chinese car models, also exports.
1 INR =2.4 SLR.....anyway i thought the same...their 18 lacs means almost 7.5 lacs in INR....and here in India maruti800 price is just 2 lacs........
This is Indian writer I guess.
who reduced tax on luxury cars?
Of course they can, but its not about buying the car, its about cost of maintenance and mileage these car offers which I think won't be economically beneficial for 3 wheeler taxi drivers of Srilanka.lol then all our 3-wheeler taxi drivers will own Maruti cars. (tuk tuk is around 4.5 lakhs rupees)
So there is a tax exemption for second hand cars.. Am I correct??
But this will destroy your vehicle industry..

Last year India imported vehicals worth USD 800 million to 'Sri Lanka'.......so I would say that not a big impact to Indian ccompanies...it's just 'hati ke muh me jeera'.

No Sri Lanka don't allow importing second hand vehicles. Only refurbished ones with service life not exceeding 3 years. Even they are taxed just like brand new vehicles.
Bangladesh tells India and you drag in Pakistan.....Obsession much but then that must be your speciality.

'Garbage junk'? Why are uneducated silly lemmings allowed to post on this website? For your info:
The automotive industry in India is one of the largest in the world and one of the fastest growing globally. India's passenger car and commercial vehicle manufacturing industry is the sixth largest in the world, with an annual production of more than 3.9 million units in 2011.
India overtook Brazil and became the sixth largest passenger vehicle producer in the world (beating such old and new auto makers as Belgium, United Kingdom, Italy, Canada, Mexico, Russia, Spain, France, Brazil), growing 16 to 18 per cent to sell around three million units in the course of 2011-12.
Srilanka can go buy from Timbuktu for all we care. Too small a market, you guys don't even count in the scheme of things.
