Sorry to disappoint you, apart from Ranbaxy, there are thousand pharma companies in India.
Morever Ranbaxy has been taken over by Daichi which is japanese company, so its not an Indian owned company.

Why would that disappoint or satisfy me Poster only posted this thread to try to insult Pakistan for a drug company actions or fault i responded with a same tone ''People who live in glass houses should not throw stones" i am glad to see it worked but how India having 1000s of companies or who bought who has what to do with this thread.

The health ministry of Sri Lanka has taken this decision after over 100 people died due to alleged spurious medicines in Lahore, Pakistan.

Here is there is no details abt which Indian drugs/vaccine is blacklisted? Lankan news papers suggested that they found Vaccine contamination, for this contamination u can't blame companies alone. Stockists also matters ryt hw they kept ? where they kept?whether they followed the proper procedures? wat kind of guidelines SL govt following to issue the license to stockist? and hw the hospital handled that medicine? needs to be investigated ,if everything is fine at SL side then they blame Pharma companies. If u found some particles in vials u can easily replaced that's not a big deal. I don't think SL did all those things properly.

Colombo (Srilankamirror) - A piece of glass has been found inside a vial of fluconazole vaccine at Colombo National Hospital’s intensive observation unit.

A doctor at the unit has detected the piece of glass as he was preparing to treat a patient.

He has complained to the accident ward’s director Dr. Prasad Ariyawansa, who has confirmed the incident to the media.

The use of the vaccine vials, bought from a drug manufacturer at Ahmadabad in India, has been stopped.

Yesterday, a fly was found from a Cloxacillin vaccine vial at Colombo South General Hospital.

According to the Health Ministry, both vaccine vials have been referred to the Medical Research Institute for tests.

Well if worm could be found inside coke bottles then this can happen too. Pharma industries need better standard of quality checking. BTW, if our products were so unsafe, we won't be renowned for medicine worldwide like this.
