They're Black ops units of Special forces squadrons.. To date the Govt doesn't officially recognize their existence within the Lankan armed forces.. Not necessarily intelligence units like ISI but ground operation units

Btw the Long Range Petrols (LRP) and the Long Range Reconnaissance Petrols (LRRP) are two entirely different units in the SL armed forces.. Some people confuse the two
