South Waziristan to get much needed software update.

Don't understand when Pak army start using armed drones or surveillance drones. It cheap and excellent in the precision strike, with extremely low collateral damage. Seems attack helicopters from US facing the parts issue and remaining deployed along Indian and Kashmir border. Turkish can't move an inch without US approve engines.

i still dont get it . why cant they live and thrive in peace ? how much more blood they need ?
mercenary is old business in that region. Paid fighters are easily available. Poverty leads to paid suicide bombers, ask any army officer who spent years in that region, tell you horrific stories about that region.

Dont want to use drones or air power. Gen Bajwa is stick in his old ways.

Disproportionate force is name of the game, we need to make them understand that every action will have a very disastrous reaction. Raise the cost of insurgency and Put fear of God in their hearts.
Problem with that is, you'd have heavy civilian casualties on your hands. The last thing you want is bombing a family.
I'd say, saturate the airspace with drones, make sure to constantly monitor the routes and villages of suspected terrorists and trace them to their homes or hideouts. Arrest their facilitators and fill the remaining power vacuum.
Make sure they understand that we're here forever. And it's better they join us to build a better future for themselves rather than ruin their and their children's future.
Oh and build a security grid.
It works for Israel all the time.
Because they have the entire global order behind their backs, we don't. Instead we're locking horns with them. Every thing we do is an uphill battle.

Then brace for heavy casualties. Unfortunately.
Seems like, we are discussing some hypothetical operation, without any confirmed news.
I fear this is the case as well, nobody seems to be reporting anything of the sorts.

Unfortunately there is plenty of local support for terrorism on ethnic grounds.
An operation will pause it bit won't end it . Likewise the yearning for constant war is embedded deep in tribal mindset. War is the only thing they can do very well and nothing else.
So war is like oxygen for them.
Whenever the war has stopped, they have managed to get it imposed upon them again.
That's the sad truth about tribes.
Don't start a fight with me for speaking the truth

It only took 127 soldiers lives. But at least they have finally woken up from slumber.

This is what I meant when I said our establishment is a bit slow in the head.

Yet some people feel offended by my to the point, no-nonsense remarks. No one likes the truth, But we have to learn to accept it. Truth is in the pudding.

In tribal culture, unfortunately,... good or bad , goodness or evil ... you stand with your tribe.
