Even though I don't believe in the caste system, I was born into an "upper caste" which literally means nothing to me or anyone i associate with. So you've lost me there!

Secondly why the hell would I want to marry a tribal?! Be it from the northwest or southeast?!
My kind gives importance to education, and moral character, not some fake "tribal" affiliation.
And if your inbred self is any gauge of the "class" of northwest tribals, we would prefer that northwestern tribals keep to themselves.

Yes, Hyderabad Deccan has some bad religious Muslims who are also close to Pakistan ideology and carries venom against India. Especially those who still marry out their sons and daughters to Karachi. But, most of them are culturally southies. No Ummat No Chumma No Jhappy Only Ennada Rascala...

Goa and Maharashtra, two states I have origins and history in, also considered part of the south seem to be all about India. Even to the point of being fiercely nationalistic.
And my travels to other South Indian states have never revealed any aversion to the concept of india. Except maybe in the spoken language.

I suppose it's a matter of perspective. I always grew up considering them as part of the south, though clearly there's ambiguity.
Either way, it's always Indian first, regional identity later.

They are not even racially South Indians. Elites from Central Asians or most specifically Central Asians or Turks who were made governors during Mughal rule. Outside of Hyderabad you will see Muslims who do not read urdu
