South Sudan becomes an independent nation

South Sudan has become the world's newest nation, the climax of a process made possible by the 2005 peace deal that ended a long and bloody civil war.

Sudan's President Omar al-Bashir and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon are among international dignitaries attending celebrations in the capital, Juba.

Sudan earlier became the first state to officially recognise its new neighbour.

The south's independence follows decades of conflict with the north in which some 1.5 million people died.

Celebrations in Juba began at midnight (2100 GMT). A countdown clock in the city centre reached zero and the new national anthem was played on television.

South Sudan became the 193rd country recognised by the UN and the 54th UN member state in Africa.

We see a huge chunk of land taken from us. Sudan which is already poor lost 75% of its oil and 80% of its forests and 25% of its land.
I hope as we lose South Sudan we will gain a Palastenian state. But they wont even give us that. They will fight this notion with all their might. They wont give kashmir back.

Where do Muslims and Islam come into the picture?

AFAIK, Islam forbids the idea of nation states.

In fact, as an extension of that logic, the term 'Muslim State' is an oxymoron.

Both sides would be bitterly envied and Army would stop negotiations with Citizens and not give lives to save them.

Working undercover is like street crimes. Best example, start murdering people of one party and try to frame it as if their envied party did that. This would result in Chaos and confusion, and they would result in same revenge. Both of them will fight and so would the followers be bitter enemies.


4) Create huge, baseless misunderstandings.

After things mentioned above happen, this step is same like last one. Example, I was told that Shias commit shirk and claim that Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W.S) wasn't the last Prophet but Ali. Prophet-hood was accidently revealed to Mohammed (S.A.W.S). On my inquiry with close Shia friends, they opposed it saying its biased and baseless. Such misunderstandings would make situations worse and the people would want to break away from others, and be independent.


5) Watch the once united country break.

Now enjoy the popcorn and sit back see people killing and fighting each other. See the brotherhood gone and brothers killing brothers and sisters killings sisters, in name of Revolution. As army is taken as an enemy,matters would go worse.

Do you want another 1971 with Balouchistan and Kashmir?! Do you want this Pakistan to be Pakhtunistan, Punjabistan, Sindhistan and Balouchistan?!

According to ISI, BLA (Balouchistan Liberation Army) is aided by Israeli forces and they have traced the agents! Such things aren't totally leaked in public due to certain fears!

Despite the sadness experienced by some people here, there has been too much terrorism & civil war going on, & the South & the North have been embroiled against each other for a long time.

I must say, this is the first independent country I've seen in my life, I was not alive to see Bangladesh get independence, or Pakistan-India (I didn't care as a kid when Eritrea or Namibia got independence). But I can only imagine how emotional it must have been, for those who were alive during the time & experienced it first hand.

However, even if South Sudan gets 'propped up' by international agencies & foreign countries, I don't think South Sudan & Sudan can ever have amicable relations again. South Sudan might serve as a proxy for foreign nations to serve their interests in the region. I also have a feeling that Libya could be the next country split into two. And then, that could spread all over the globe. Sudan was not strong enough to resist the split, let's see how strong countries like Afghanistan & others are to resist the potential split that can be encountered in the future. I feel like nations such as China, India, Pakistan are too important to the world, & are strong enough to resist any independence movements in the future.

There is no separatist movement in Karachi. I was born in Karachi, I go there all the time, I have my whole family spread all over Karachi, I know for a fact that Karachi is free from secessionist movements. Karachi is a proud part of Pakistan, & no Karachiite wants Karachi to split from Pakistan. This is ridiculous. Who told you Karachi wants independence from Pakistan? Sindhudesh is pretty much non-existent now. The biggest threat Pakistan faces is in Balochistan, but even that isn't a real threat. The BLA & the BLF are the only two secessionist movements there. Pashtunistan is also a wet dream as well.

I have just come across some members who want Karachi and Sindh to be independent. It was infact for them, and this is the reality that is being played with Pakistan.

No one from Karachi want to be indepandant country, Pakistan is our motherland if we Karachities want to get separated than why did we gave alot of blood for this motherland? Karachities are patriotic peoples & it will be better if other Pakistanis stop looking at Karachities from suspisious eyes, infact it was Karachi because of which the separatist of Sindh could'nt do anything out of that sindhudesh movement which is now dead. Haven't you guys see the Muhajirs in East Pakistan? they remained loyal to Pakistan till very end & today they are living in camps & still haven't giveup, they still call themselves Pakistanis even when Pakistan's political or military rulers never tried to bring them back.
After Musharraf had left the power, PPP had started it's gunda gardi in Karachi, they make MQM & ANP fight each other so that PPP gets strong in Karachi. ANP is just foolish party who doesn't understand PPP game, wheras MQM understand but they had to defend those who vote them.It is also because MQM recently quit govt alliance & PPPthugs are angry with that. In the end it is Muhajirs who are in full loss, their home is Karachi & it is under fire, their buisness is shut down, their lives are in danger etc. ANP is from KP-NWFP & PPP from interior Sindh, they have nothing to loose but they knew all blame will come on MQM. These PPP losers does'nt understand that Karachi shuts one day costs billions & billions of loss to Pakistan's economy, or even if they understand they doesn't care.
There are some solutions like, deweaponize the city & train strong police force without any influence of any political party & also install hidden cameras everywhere in karachi(interior & entrances). 2nd solution is make Karachi,Jamshoro & Hyderabad a new provence & Sindh another provence with it's capital Sukkur or Larkana. It will develop another city like Sukkur or Larkana & violence in Karachi will be stopped, zardari talks to create a new provence in punjab for Seraikis but never talk for South Sindh because how will his corrupt wadera than loot Sindh budget which actually is big due to Karachi.
