Some snaps of OplotM & VT4 testing in Pakistan

. .

Electro optics on the front on this tank is huge will obstruct anti air and anti surf ace gun on the turret 12.7 mm probably movement and looks ugly unless it brings way more capability then std size optics

.
@Dazzler bro can you tell me what are these thing i encircled ?

PA can technically get both, Oplot as the Haider heavy tank and the VT-4 since resemblance with the Al-Khalid can be introduced as a Al-Khalid upgrade.

Like the Oplot but looks wider than the VT-4 because of additional side armor, hope the additional width wont be a logistic issue.

The one meant for Pakistan, called OplotP no longer have this problem. OplotP has lower profile compared to VT4.

Al Khalid and VT4 are entirely different platforms. They both may look similar and belong to same family of armor but still they have several obvious differences.
AK2 will be a comprehensive upgrade of existing AK tank design with structural upgrades too, particularly in turret design. So let be it.

Shall Pakistan not go for Heavy Tank to beat India's T-90s.

Pakistan must go for heavy and Suits can be of western origin. That will be great.

It's not necessary to have heavy tank to beat T-90 or any other tank, there are also other important things like firepower, accuracy, speed, turret rotation, APS, PPS, NCW, gun stability during move, armour, etc. which play role in tank battle, also tanks don't go alone they have APCs/IFVs usually equipped with ATGMs to support them.

Thing is which ever tank is selected it will be highly customize as per PA requirements and many advance Western systems will be installed in it. What Turkish Atlay have PA tanks could have it too.

Not needed. Terrain and weather will kill it.
Sir may be effective fire range should be somewhat near to Western Tanks

Hopefully, ASELSAN AKKOR active armored protection system finds a way to end up with the Pak armors!!! i cide tally, they're passing the trials in the Syrian expedition!!! Not a wild imagination I think...
Hopefully many subsystems of Turkish origin if they are available in affordable prices and superior capabilities.

May be Pak should also go for some light customized Tank for mountains and for limited use in Kuch area. We now have multiple challenges and Western front should also not to be ignored.

Why would you need that when Alkhalid's FCS can find targets as far as 10 kms away, which is right up there with the FCS used in the best mbts in the world?

As for the gun, all 120/125mm smoothbore guns being used today have maximum effective range of 2-2.5 km, or at best 3km. After that, the accuracy of the gun and the velocity of APFSDS shell starts to diminish which leads to reduced possibility to engage targets.

Though the ATGMs/ gun launched guided HEAT rounds can engage targets beyond 3km but their effectiveness against modern multilayered armor is somewhat questionable.
