What's new

Soldiers martyred...a new normal on Pak Afghan border….

While Rome was an Empire, Pakistan is merely a nondescript blip in the history of humankind. Pakistan doesn't even control it's own borders. We're walking a very thin line between stability and balkanization. Unless the Army comes to it's senses and turns it's guns towards the "real" enemy, this country is doomed.

I fear for the the worst. Pakistan army's track record in tackling the TTP is not satisfactory to say the least. Ideally the Pak army needs to eliminate TTP inside Afghanistan. Somehow the Pakistani army is under the illusion that the Afghan Taliban will keep word. Both the Afghan Taliban and TTP share a common goal. They don't recognise Durand Line border. The border is at the heart of the conflict.

You know what the more fucked up thing that boils the blood we are not retialiating with a full force to bunch of starving afghandus barely armed in comparison with the superior capabilities Pakistan have military wise.
You first made a mistake by starting this war again and now sitting like a hen on eggs while they kill our soldiers daily?
Key targets in Kabul should be bombed by airforce to send then a loud and clear message that we will strike you deep inside if you ever dare to mess on our fence.

At the end of the day, both the Afghan Taliban and TTP are exploiting the weakness of the Pakistani army. If the Pakistani army tackled TTP inside Afghanistan the problem can be largely solved. The unwillingness to tackle TTP is where crux of the problem lies.

Do you think they ever asked themselves how they could afford to wage war against the US for 20 years?

You need to stop using logic my brother, when they have a goal they are insistent, illogical and brutal in their approach. Logic comes after.

Pakistan is several times weaker than the US, it means absolutely nothing about "affording". They know they have strategic depth using porous borders and sympathisers within Pakistan where they know the state's hands are tied.

To them the concept of Loy Afghanistan is the very existence of what it means to call yourself Afghan, or you're an outcast, not worthy of life, etc. It's an extreme tribal culture of honour for them. Their life is worth less than their honour.
Guerilla warfare is very different from a border skirmish or direct war. Afford meant there that IEA doesn't bother having trade and good relations with Pak (which heavily depended on Pak). I know that the biggest fear was a civil war which didn't happen, fortunately, like 90s. So, that is why they are lenient on TTP. Pak must squeeze their lifeline, not by closing the border, but by stopping smuggling with frequent border closing. That type of war doesn't cost much, though, especially when you get little help from Pak/Tajik/Iran sides.

We must reinstate refugees or rehabilitate them outside the city. That is a must as these people facilitate, like many other Pakistani sympathisers. At least, the former will not be there and legal.

The only downside of Afghanistan is that not only landlocked but also has been cut off from the outside world for ages. That is due to connectivity, no internet, hostility in the region, and so on. Hence, they lack the capacity to understand foreign relations, global village, diplomacy, etc. They raise their arms for any problem.

TTP is an extension of them and uses guerrilla warfare, and border skirmishes mean nothing to them as they don't care if a few soldiers die, to them men are disposable, and then they blame it on some rogues.

They are empowered because they realise how deep their sympathies run within local Pashtun border regions who may support them. They are aware the state's hands are tied, it can't take decisive actions that hurts the Afghans or there will be uproar.

reality is they do not consider it a border, hence, the reason they are not going to stop until shoot to kill for anyone approaching borer fence other than designated entry points is implemented.

We have seen recent statement of IEA MOFA statement, and so called TTP is worst.

all this is not new, but our SOPs regarding this border need to be revised.

100KM no man's land - no presence of human life. Anyone enters - gets sent to the afterlife.

But terrain, etc, could be an issue.

But mark my words, there are two things that people don't understand about them:

1. They will never give up their goal of Loy Afghanistan. Completely forget this.

2. They will never assimilate or see other ethnicities as equal or to live peacefully with. They harbour extreme visceral hatred against the native ethnicities of Pakistan and the nation even while living off the country. Having them as refugees is the worst decision one could make.

At the very least AJK, Sindh, Punjab, should remove all the refugees.

They are the main things fuelling instability inside the country. Like Israeli Nazis running around spewing hate against everyone and the country they live off, while claiming the land belongs to them. They've created Afghan only pockets in many areas already.

The trio Bajwa- Faiz- Imran has ruined our country's economy. Ruined the sanctity of every institution. In pursuit of their selfish agenda, they break every law & now when we officially are going to dogs two of them left the station & will never be held accountable for their mess

Ladies and gents do we even have MODS up in this shxthole????

@waz @LeGenD @The Eagle @SQ8

-------------

What is the obsession with Afghanistan?? by fake news circlutors and the false inclusion of Afpak border what kind of intellectual disinformation is this???????

The Pak army released a public official statement regarding this incident hours ago and it happened nowhere near Afghan border but inside Kurram itself..

This is the OFFICIAL ISPR release

What kind of border fencing completion is that? Is TTP crossing for the cross-border raid or coming near, firing, and leaving?
I think ttp first cut open parts of fence using cutters then come to our side attack and run back

We should have mined the border instead would be cheaper anyway and much more effective

Pakistan never failed during Martial law.
Failure is a progression. It's the culmination of events, decisions, and failures.

The common denominator during the unfortunate history of Pakistan has always been the establishment.
