"Dim sum" counts as snacks in general. In Cantonese it literally means "touch heart", i.e. light foods served in small portions.

And there are so many kinds. In HK i used to order by the serial number on the menu. And very appropriately named.
The way to my heart is through my stomach!

Yeah, I like the concept of ordering from the serial number. Surprisingly few Chinese restaurants restaurants here use it.

.
nas pan masala (i cut down on it because i used to eat way too much)

pakora

aloo samosa

jlaaby

the famous Tikka @ Lahore

and what i call the soul food of Pakistan --- Peshawari chicken...lots of oil, chips, and a need for 2 hours nap afterwards before a game of squash!

gulab jamon

Cornetto (especially the chocolate part at the bottom of the cone :))

sooji halwa --with extra badam (i personally like it also with dried cocunut powder)

shaljam (if prepared properly)

though some of these things arent really ''snacks'' but just some ideas i came up with in 30 seconds.....more to come soon

Because the Menu cards are not so long or varied. The numbers help tremendously. And believe it or not; some of the "Dim-Sum" places have numbers running into 3 digits. That is variety! :agree: :)
