Threat was limited to responding to trolls in a language they understand.
Simply the way serious posters who add content to a discussion are replied to in a mature way.


It is a fact that without these 2 laggard provinces India would rank much higher. I dont see anything factually wrong with this statement. My last post to Gibbs should also says the same thing. Analysis of our failures and correction upon them are a pre-requisite to improvement.

And it is a fact, in a country comparison you do not leave parts you do not like. Not even india even other countries have backward areas. For example SL has 1/3rd of its war ravaged area for 30 years. And it is same with almost all countries. And before calling others trolls just read the content and understand what they say.

The point he was trying to make is that it is very difficult, if not impossible to uniformly develop a big country with a huge population like India in such a short span and there will always be parts that will drag the over all number down. You can't compare a country like SL with India.

Sorry the point he made was that India is that India is doing so well that if you take out those two provinces that India will be on par with SL.. Some how he cant seem to fathom that India is 62 places below.. I didnt do a comparison, He did.. Re read the comments

They are not polls.
Its called human development index and has 3 parameters in it.

Its a methodical system and does reflect the true progress of a society.
Problem is it dosen't take into account huge population we have as a result we cannot allocate the resources properly .

We are where china was 15 years back and we would need another 20 years to reach the level at which it is currently,,i make no bones about it.
But i fail to see whats the point of discussion in it,especially people of sri lanka laughing at us??

what you are doing is giving disadvantages or limits in using HDI. There are short comings in HDI as with most indexes. When the HDI value for a list of countries is given it is pointless to talk about the weaknesses of HDI because it is like giving excuses. I pointed out the irrationality of the indian poster 'that without those two parts india would rank much higher'. Because in a country wise comparison you need to take the whole country into consideration.

It is similar to one saying 'without kerala, delhi and punjab' india would rank much lower.

China is communist country and can circumvent any law to do what it deems right.
