Yea, this is the sad truth, even Nigeria right now, is in veeery bad shape...genocides that triggered the Biafran war are reoccuring again and its scary...more population and more poverty today than ever...ISWAP and their other AQ and ISIS affiliates are roaming freely through northern Nigerian now more than ever...i've never seen something like this in decades...but i knew it was possible if there is poor security(govt and military) or/and bad economic sitaution with alot of poverty. thats whats in the North of Nigerian now.

Bilad as-Sudan is an integral part of Islamic African history. Please do not undermine it. I would expect a person like you to appreciate the beautiful rich history of Africa.

The prosperous and rich empires controlled by the Sūd (Black) Kings, and not foreign entities. People from here were highly literate, educated, & intelligent.

I bet you knew nothing about this history. And just blurted out “wrong country”, implying Niger isn’t “as-Sudan”. In fact, it is nothing but as-Sudan.

Bilad As-Sudan can apply to any black African nation south of Sahara, but today refers to Sudan (a nation state.)

It is similar to how Ar Rum refers to all of Europe, but Rome is actually in Italy.
