When I go China, its mobile plan is also very affordable, and datarate is excellent (cant remember exactly).

Singapore 5GB per month plan XO 48 is about 37 USD and in reality is more (there are additional necessary options).

Singapore is a super corrupt country. No one can afford mobile youtube.

Rotfl, in Poland, we have an option e.g. if you pay 50 zł for a smartphone (calling, etc. for free) you can add for 25 zł 60 GB internet per month. 25 zł is 6 USD. There are many other options it depends what from what phone operator. The other has a 40 zł monthly plan for 50 GB, but you don't have other payments.

One reason for the high tarriff is due to Singapore telco forcing periodic phone renewal on her citizens.

Now TPG a new companies offer just the plain network connections in Singapore. Tarriff is acceptable.

But then by forcing citizens to lower bandwidth consumption, Singtel is actually planting far lower density of base station compared to counterparts elsewhere.

She save cost.

First of all, it's meaningless to compare Vietnam and Singapore when there's vast differences in cost of living and purchasing power. Singapore GDP per capita is more than 20x of Vietnam's in nominal terms, and more than 10x in PPP terms.

Also, you're cherry-picking the plans with different other benefits. Why did you not mention that the plan you chose to compare for Singapore allows customers to buy smartphones/tablets/laptops at a heavily discounted price, or even for free for some devices? Back then, I bought my Huawei Mate 20 Pro for only SGD100+.

2 GB per day? That's really awesome.
Singapore telecoms use to give 12 GB data plan per month in 3G era.
But in 4G era, the usual data plan downsized to 2 GB... My monthly subscription was 50 dollars+ with 2 GB data....
But now with more new carriers joining the market, it has improved a lot.
