He was indeed in UAE but was released sooner in their documents though could have been taken in on the same time but in different fashion (Secret Indeed).

I read a ticker stating that he came into Pakistan via Iran, how credible is that?

His possible route to escape the heat in Karachi was to go Muscat initially or sometimes Iran and possibly released from UAE was attempting to enter Iran through Pakistan Border so was apprehended in attempt however things undeclared are good as that was not the need but his arrest.

What is the point of catching him? there is video evidence of him along with PPP members, even CM Sindh. He is alleged to have been in contact with them, taking orders from the PPP. Hell, PPP members from Lyari have taken an oath in his name. Don't expect any action in this country.

While looking at the past events, indeed you are right but what i am looking at this is like the Timing Sir. Timing indeed by our LEAs while the same leadership of Karachi was bragging about as No relations between LGW and PPP. So the exposure is most related to the claims of innocence by PPP. I think very well played shot. These stake holders as you mentioned above have been hiding under the umbrella of democracy and muk muka politics but Rangers has started the operation with full zeal despite of any language, caste, party or religion. Criminal is Criminal indeed but sometimes i think confessions are added to record to reveal soon on perfect time to avoid ambiguities of political law and justice.

Well as per my idea and observations, the game plane has been changed this time. We all know that there was no such development in past despite confessions and even proven guilty. Nobody tried to look at the source but the suspect or proven guilty was only punished and chapter closed. This time LEAs as promised doing well in best manners as COAS also submitted in start that No terrorist, sympathizer or even facilitator would be excused but the operation will go in full swing while by deleting every corrupted whether big or small. So the same arrest will prove more enough of this operation.

However, now the intention of our Government as well as the Justice system will be revealed.

Not to forget that COAS has 8 months left and he promised that the mission against terrorism will be accomplished In'Sha'ALLAH so my take this time is it is going to be fruitful but sooner by the trees planted in past like all those tapes and confession will now serve the purpose.

After successful negotiations with UAE he was long back handed over to Pakistan but they announce his arrest now.

Sometimes, things are better kept secret and to reveal on perfect time. The better you play the game the good you planned it in long terms rather chasing short time achievements. He obviously was with the security forces giving them all the secrets. once the secret services were confident they have gotten all out of him they have officially arrested him and are going through the courts to get a conviction.

The best that can come from his confessions is
1) he blows the lid on BB killers
2) tells he was directly under orders of the high command of PPP, including Zardari, the govner etc so the target killings were under orders of the high command.

He was already in custody for quite a while. Go back to COAS statement, expect action against terrorist elements all round the country to gather pace and most likely COAS wants to strike with an iron hammer before his retirement. It appears that in the last couple of months, Army was carefully reviewing its Operations and doing its Homework. Now, they will put that intel gathering to use and strike hard at the terrorist elements.
