Simorgh class drones > ashes of the beast

First of all these are prototypes!

+ where is targeting system on X-47B or X-45C !?

Ok ... Let's continue:

First of all i want to correct something !

The black drone in previous flight video was the 1:1 size !

And above picture is totally wrong !

It was the first prototype with static landing gears Like the first generation of S-129!!!

They wanted to make the possible crashes less expensive !

& yes ... S-171 prototypes crashed couple of times !

But after number of successful flights they made the full functional model:

& here is the possible UCAV:

Which one we should expect to see first? Qaher-313 or Bigger Simorgh?

Probably Q-313. Last I heard, the defense minster said the engine was being mounted. It was about 2 months ago. Should be ready for taxi early next year.

The bigger Simorgh is an unannounced project. We are just speculating by reading between the lines that IRIGC is working on strategic bombers. Of course, @SOHEIL usually has good insider info and he thinks the bomber is coming soon as well.

Fortunately the RQ-170 is single engined. If Iran manages to copy the existing engine, described as very advanced, it can use two of them in a significantly larger variant with strike capability and improved stealth performance, as well as more surviveability in case one engine has a malfunction. Hence the parameters for a Simorgh bomber are green, ready to go.

Why did they ad missiles when your uav have not targeting system:-)? Hellfire missile weights almost 50kg, and i qeus that missiles are same as hellfire. So 200kg on missiles and no targeting system. No flir like orginal rq170 sentinel, how do you want to observe?
These missiles are smaller and lighter weight than hellfire and in addition they are optically guided not laser/radar guided like hellfire so you can use the missiles own on board camera for targeting. Now it would depend on the type of mission,if you are going out and looking for targets of opportunity then yes a dedicated flir system is probably the best way to go,however if you are going to attack a target that is known ahead of time then using the missiles onboard optics will probably get the job done just fine. The smaller drone is meant to be cheaper hence no onboard flir system to help keep the costs down.

I thought this is Simorgh.

Yes that is the Simorgh jet Trainer but not the Simogh UCAV we also have a Simorgh SLV! It's a popular name for anything that fly's

For example the name Zolfaghar in Iran is also used for a bunch of different weapons we have Zolfaghar Tanks, Ballistic Missile, Missile Boat, Refile....
