When China talks about getting rid of the Western values, it does not mean closing off economic, political or social relations. It means replacing them with genuine historical values of China while eclectically benefiting from whatever might work for China -- be it foreigner or domestic.

You are a moron if you believe that China became world's largest trading nation by closing itself off. But interaction does not mean submission. We have a deeper and richer history than many others and we are proud of it.

Like many Chinese members, I received part of my education in the West. That did not make me less of a patriot and I returned home. So, before jumping like an ignorant chimp, take a look at the increasing number of students and experts that come back home each year.

Many of Taiwan's successful tech start-ups used to work in Silicon Valley.

Hence, purging Western values, basically, means achieving self-sustained economic, political and cultural development.

And, no matter how high you jump in your little island, China has been doing just that.

We are putting down our own rules and not to be dictated by others. The counter-terrorism law that orders foreign companies to store information inside China and provide backdoor access to Chinese officials, or replacing foreign communication tech with domestic ones are recent examples.

Xi Jinping's daughter was sent to Harvard by his wife, because most women are not politically sensitive.

When Xi became the President, his daughter was sent back to China.

BTW, Xi's ex-wife wanna immigrate to the US, while Xi didn't agree, since he wanna stay in China. That's why they got divorced. And Imagine China that back in the 1970s was poor as hell, yet Xi didn't want to immigrate, so it is out of question by now.

BTW, Peng Liyuan is a good woman and a good wife, but she isn't always politically sensitive and made a mistake by sent her daughter to Harvard. If I am the President of China like Xi, heck I also won't send my children to the US, because I am politically much more sensitive than her.

I never said its wrong to for Chinese officials/president/citizens to send their kids over to the west to study/live etc. All i said was that the CCP shouldnt start with these 'purging China of all western values' shit. It serves no purpose, since we live in a globalised world, there is no way to insulate yourself from others completely. Its simply impossible, except you want to be North Korea. I was just using these officials themselves sending their children to study/live in the west and their ill gotten wealth as well over here as an example of their hypocrisy, They should be the last people to even say such a thing IMO. so all this talk is not so much because they love the country, simply playing politics/scoring political points, nothing more. Since its bound to fail, because i noticed they werent so much saying China should preserve traditional Chinese values(which would have been more understandable), they want Chinese to be more loyal towardsthe CCP instead. I know politiicians pretty well, ours are not different to be honest. They are all the same.

Those who are running Chinese propaganda are very stiff old men. If I were them, I would just let anyone talk it openly, and absorb anything useful not matter what -ism is. But they will never do that, just like you guys in UK will never talk about those sensitive race and religion stuff in public. I'd like to reiterate my meaning, don't see China from its coat. That's why some people in the west think China mysterious since China's behavior is different from its claimed ideology. Any if most westerners continue think through simple analyzing models, that's perhaps what CCP wants. Just grasping some superficial one, like politicians being only good for relatives or politicians from the whole world being only hypocrites, perhaps accounts for the Europe's sinking. Europe's glory came from its ancestors' deep insights and broader minds. But pls don't exploit its achievements as what a lot of Europeans are doing. 21st century is really not about India and China, I suppose, better to say a conflict century between civilizations or religions.

It's the most dangerous thing for the west welcome anyone from any country since these people are attracted mostly by a cozier life. Many of them continue their original ideology, generations after generations under a multicultural policy. Then what's next? I often wanna cry loudly to Europe, defend yourself! Bust mostly you guys just defend those in their own country if they share the same values. Agree, Chinese propaganda officials are very amateurish/ineffective. They still tend to use old soviet model propaganda which is rather crude/old fashion/unattractive for the world in which we live today. Reason they can never shape public opinion in Asia, much less the world. They still have a very longggg way to go IMO. They are not refined at all, and they dont seem to want to learn from others. Yes we are by far the most tolerant society in the world(well after Africans), and we provide the best/equal opportunity for everybody to suceed here as far as they can bring in something to our country, we couldnt care less about their race(in fact during my many travels in Asia, i even noticed we are more tolerant towards Asians than Asians themselves among them.lol). Its for this reason we attract the brightest/smartest people from all over the world. Thats also what makes the U.S/west to always be one step ahead of others.

Preaching Chinese ideas outside is not a Chinese style in history and in the future. If u study a little bit about Chinese civilization's history, u will get some ideas. Chinese used be live in a small region. When enemies like northern nomads invaded and conquered central China, they felt like real dominants. But after years, not only these nomads assimilated into Chinese but their own land became part of China, that's how China is growing big for most cases. Thanks to Manchurians, they helped unite Xinjiang and Tibet but also their own culture is gone. Europe, India, Arab are new one compared to their ancient glorious time. China is still China, we still use idioms 2000 years ago every single day. We still say Confucius and Taoist sentences like our ancestors. Its wisdom never dies out even at its hardest moment since this system surpasses religion, ideology and races. This should be the West is really afraid of, not so called communism, dumb propaganda or those hybrid/CNG buses which are running in your country

As I said, she is politically insensitive, and she even made the selfie with an iPhone, which is politically incorrect for being the first lady of China. BTW, nobody is perfect, and we don't blame her for that since she is still a good wife and a good mother.
