Should Pakistani flag be Changed?

How about we all divorce from the religion called Islam and become atheist and focus of worldly life? Wouldn't that be better for Pakistan, that way the BIGGEST hurdle in progress of Pakistan will disappear right?
Actually, all the inane issues I mentioned are 'worldly issues', there is nothing spiritual in declaring this or that 'haraam'.

Spirituality comes from meditation and worship, from your heart, not from declaring this that or the other 'haram'.

Inculcating respect for all human beings (and living things to extend it further) automatically addresses the other issues:

You respect your spouse, therefore you will not commit adultery and hurt him/her.

You respect the stranger running his business, so you will not rob him/her and/or damage his property.

You respect life, therefore you will not take it from someone.

You respect yourself, therefore you shall eat healthy and exercise.

We already surrounded by issues , and here come another one 'change the Flag' ... Sad

Actually we create issues for ourselves

Not in mood to start new thread for my query, please someone answer here.

It always fascinate me that Muslims are advised to spread teachings of Islam to non-Muslims but no one cared to spread it in 20th century India instead they chose seperate country based on religion. Whereas earlier Muslim empire's sacrificed men, and other precious resources for this purpose. Mughals mingled with Indians regardless of religion, this was reason for their success and prosperity. They didnt felt insecure about their faith, instead it actually benifitted Islam. For Muslims Religion should come 1st, but what led to this idea of seperate Islamic nation instead of spreading teachings of Prophet Muhammed.

Your argument I believe was in fact the reason why the Islamic groups in British India did not support the creation of Pakistan, and why many of them that remained in India still do not support Pakistan.

Which brings up the argument that many nationalistic Pakistanis will make, that Pakistan was not created to be an 'Islamic State', and created solely on the basis of religion, but as a State 'for Muslims' that wished to govern their own affairs and not worry about oppression by a dominant Hindu majority. That is, the creation of Pakistan was more political than religious. Jinnah's vision of Pakistan certainly does not indicate a religious State.

If we try to mingle religion in every single aspect of our life blindly, then its just not good. Almost all of our religious symbols have been derived from ancient symbols,eg the words amin, amen have been derived from the word amun(egyptian). So please stop your rants, when you dont know the significance of these symbols fully.

Whats the difference? I see nothing. governing own affairs and naming a dedicated state?

hyper-Islamists never really respected the concept of Pakistan or Pakistani nationalism

i have little sympathy for such people --because it shows ingratitude to Jinnah, Iqbal etc. who helped lay the foundation for the country. Pakistan is simply a country for Muslims of the sub-continent. Doesnt mean that every street, every pan shop and every Tom dick and harry must have Quranic verses ingrained and embossed in them

I am not discussing Ahmadis - merely pointing out how the laws against them violate the commands of the Quran, and the fact that such violations of the Quran are ignored by people like you in favor of arguing over 'symbols'.
And what does that have to do with the topic? So I am not allowed to discuss about the Pagan symbols because their are laws made against the Ahmadis?

Have you and your kind divorced from Islam or something? You are calling Hadith 'authentic to suite your hate-mongering and prejudiced agenda of victimizing non-Muslims? Do you even know that Allah has not commanded Muslims to contradict the Quran on the pretext of 'following Muhammad (PBUH)?
How can Muslims follow Allah and the word of Allah (Quran) when they choose to follow hadith that contradict the Quran?

Arent you good at making allegation on others when you run out of logic? First you made a false statement that i belong to some Islamic organization then you accuse me of making hate mongering speeches and victimized non muslims?
And then on top of that you have just made a blunder of yourself for calling Hadis "UNAUTHENTIC" to suite your secular agenda. You will lose your creditability in this forum for saying that. Anyways its your own personal opinion.
Muslims fallow Quran Hadis and Sunnah because Allah SWT commands us to do so.

There is a theory that 'Allah' was name of moon-god in pre-Islamic Arabia, and was one of the more than 360 idols worshiped by the Meccans before prophet Muhammads (PBUH) time.
Even prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) father was called Abd-Allah (Slave of Allah)

I did not say you 'cannot discuss', you are discussing. I said that focusing on symbols, when there are far larger issues that need to be addressed, such as the open discrimination and prejudice against a community of millions in Pakistan, is indicative of a flawed mindset focusing on petty and inane issues,

I am merely paraphrasing your own 'allegations' to apply against your arguments. Fine, you don't belong to HuT, good for you. That does not really change any of my arguments against your positions.

Secondly, if hadith contradict the Quran, then they are un-authentic, distortions and perversions of the faith, and there are many hadith that contradict the Quran, and are used to justify all sorts of prejudiced and barbaric interpretations of Islam. Calling them 'unauthentic' is the right thing to do.

The Quran is clear on the issues I have pointed out. We do not need hadith to distort its message and promote the agenda of extremists.

That may have been Jinnah's vision, but consider the 1973 Constitution:

All existing laws shall be brought in conformity with the Injunctions of Islam as laid down in the Holy Quran and Sunnah, in this Part referred to as the Injunctions of Islam, and no law shall be enacted which is repugnant to such Injunctions. link

That was the point Pakistan crossed the line: no longer was it to be a country of Muslims, but a country whose inhabitants' lawful acts were to be judged by conformity to "Quran and Sunnah". Isn't having their verses "ingrained and embossed" in one's mind now a necessary aid to every Pakistani?

Allah SWT did not chose the flag his Messenger did.

If it is not in the Quran then it is not of importance.

Focus on improving peoples lives as commanded by the Quran, not on frivolous 'symbols', and the Muslim world will be a much better place.

Should it be changed to Pure Green or Green and White?

I mean the star and the crescent in the flag is actually Pagan symbols.

The star in the flag represents 5 pillars of islam and prophet mohammed PBUH clearly said :

“Whoever inserted anything in this our matter (Deen) that is not
part of it, it is rejected.”

“Anyone who invented something in our matter (Deen) that which
is not from it, it would be rejected.”

I mean seriously its about time we Muslims admit our mistakes and Change.

If Pakistanis want to stick to the flag then the meaning should be changed to something other so it does not misrepresent Islam.
Then whats wrong with making a cross or star of david a Islamic symbol?

Correct me If i am wrong.

watch the video from 07:35 (star of david transformation in pakistani flag ) ;)

There is a slight modification of the Pakistani flag that
I may support; but changing the overall flag design no.
