Should PA consider a next-gen A2GM?

I wrote a piece on the Brimstone (link) and was thinking about the improvements this kind of system brings over current mainstay A2GMs such as the Hellfire II or Barq we're using on the Burraq. The two key areas I can think of would be the mmW-seeker and longer-range (15km+).

I think the Pak Army should pursue the development of this kind of missile. For one thing, it'd give our attack helicopters relative stand-off range, meaning, they can target away from the enemy's VSHORAD assets. Second, the mmW-seeker would give our attack helicopters 'fire-and-forget' capability (mmW picks up metalic signatures, great against vehicles).

The U.S has its own program, Joint Air-to-Ground Missile (JAGM), but Brimstone is competing to be the baseline for it. Honestly what would it take to develop our own counterpart to the Brimstone? A rocket capable of reaching 15km+? A mmW-seeker? INS/GPS guidance system? Aren't these sub-components available to Pakistan via China and South Africa?

that's 12 missile per F-18. can hit tanks even fast attack attack boats.

There are no official specs of Barq available on the Internet... And claiming its AR-1 without any solid facts or figures is ridiculous .. Specially when you copy stuff from Wikipedia about AR-1 [(whose specs aren't clear (even on wiki)].

Also Barq was tested and is in production... The only info on it is;

It is a long ranged missile.

It's Laser Guided.

The Burraq armed with two laser guided missiles is an major breakthrough for both Chinese and Pakistan. The missiles seems to have derived their design from the American Hellfire AGM, The AR 1 is an small missile which uses laser guidance and is capable of hitting any mobile target within ten kilometres of the range of the missile. The missile carries 10 kilo grams of HESH or HEAT ammunition, which have failed to pierce Tank armour but can be a good platform against Troop convoy's. The usage of the UAV against such strikes proves to be a risk free decision and can also greatly reduce the operation cost.

That's what I am thinking. Wouldn't China just take its mmW seeker and pair it to a longer-range rocket, and thus make its own counterpart to the Brimstone?

Chinese MMW seeker doesn't operate beyond range of 10 Km( Probably 5-7 Km )
american Millimetric Wave Radar are state of art technology with range of 18km
They can be ofcourse used as active radar seeker in terminal phase of a missile as they as they perform better in fog, mist, dust and smoke
But FLIR sensors are better suited for that job as they cant be blocked by EW.

I believe there is a Chinese Solution Which is Like Spike wire guided for long range engagements that can act as a good substitute/addition however a Hellfire launcher based for ground to ground engagement is being tested. Next Gen infantry portable ATGM will have to be HJ-12 or Turkish UMTAS/OMTAS
