Should AMCA be build around Modified Engine of FGFA?

India should worry about geting LCA going before worry about AMCA. India might not need to develop another plane if it has foriegn option that will cost cheaper.

dont worry , we have enough resources so that we concern on 2-project simultaneously.

Not only two, but three and a big one like FGFA.. we have damn a lot of money to spend on this projects

AMCA should be solely for IAF like F-22 only for USAF.

It should be the other way around, AMCA should be for IN only, since FGFA is already developed for IAF and even the F22 was meant to have a naval version, which was rejected only because of cost reasons. The possible naval version was even one reason why the YF 22 was prefered over the YF 23.

A single-engine stealthy warbird ? Isn't that what the Tejas Mk-III is supposed to be?

Not at all, LCA was meant to be a single engine cost-effective multi role fighter, stealth always is costly, no matter how many engines you have, because maintaining the coatings is the most expensive part. That's why USN says, the their single engine F35C will be 1.5 times costlier to operate, that their twin engined F18s today.

If i am not wrong then AMCA will be 5th generation rafale, means atleast in terms of role...right???

It will be similar in size and weight, but if it will be as balanced in design, will be seen. First they said it's for strikes, then they wanted a fighter that does it all, the latest grafics could hint on design changes for carrier operations.
