Shopian gunfight: Army trooper succumbed to injuries

Srinagar: Army trooper, who was critically injured last night in a brief gunfight at Imamsahab area of Shopian in south Kashmir, succumbed to injuries Thursday morning.

Official sources told GNS that army’s 62 RR and SOG had cordoned off the Barbugh village in Imamsahab area following the specific information about the presence of some militants.

In the initial gunfire, a soldier Ramesh Kumar had received serious bullet injuries, they had said, adding that the injured Kumar was immediately shifted to army’s 92 base hospital here in Srinagar.

Kumar today morning succumbed to injuries, the official added.

Kashmiri Mujahideen are very well trained and intelligent (Chute hue ).
Their attacks are very limited because our western front is in trouble, if they increase their ambushes like 1989- 1999 on Amry camps, BLA BRA thugs will kill our civilians more.

Dude...we are not Pakistan that terrorist will blow up like they are doing in your Western front....It is not like these terrorist are not trying to do it, rather they are not able to do it because, the local support is missing for them in Kashmir...Do you ever imagined, why do the casualities of your NW is so heavy so that you have to indulge Army, Air force and s o many other units and so many killing and casualty is happening in your NW area where as you do not see that much of violence in Kashmir?....It is becuase there is not mass scale local support exists in Kashmir insurgency...People might be dissatisfied with India but that does not translate to fighting with India in a useless war as expected by Pakistan...

If local is supporting these activities, why do not you guys think about yourself, why Kashmir issue never makes any headlines and progress both from military and political perspective in last 65 years?...India makes successful political transition in Jammu and Kashmir and there is a functioning democracy....since last 15 year

LOL. Your country has the dubious distinction of being the only country on earth where a bunch of gunmen can infiltrate and lay to waste major army, naval and air force bases. Heck, the GHQ itself!

That doesn't mean that it's so easy in other countries, where the security forces are competent.

You can boast about 26/11 all day, as you usually do - anybody can shoot unarmed civilians in a city. But major military bases being attacked by lightly armed terrorists? Only in Pakistan, buddy.

So since you grew up there, I can't blame you for wondering why it doesn't happen in India. Because our armed forces are not that incompetent, you see.

BTW, you ought to know something - even your army cannot attack our military bases and get away with it. Even if they roll in with tanks and artillery and air support, they will be repulsed. So you think a few militants can? You must have such a low opinion of your army, to think that only non-uniformed terrorists can fight India, while your uniformed army swats mosquitoes at home. If your army will not dare to attack an Indian military installation, you can bet your last Pakistani rupee that your non uniformed "jihadis" cannot do that either.
