Shootout at ISRO space center

Two people were on Tuesday morning involved in a shootout with Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) security personnel around its high-security facility at Bylalu near Bangalore.

The two men, who were roaming around the area, opened fire at the security personnel on being questioned forcing the security forces to return fire.

"Two people were seen moving in a suspicious manner outside our centre," ISRO spokesman S Satish told Reuters. "The police immediately challenged them, and they opened fire in retaliation. The shootout continued for some time before the two men fled." "The police are investigating. It is up to them to see whether it was a terror attack," he added.

The home ministry sees ISRO buildings as a high priority target for terrorists, and has beefed up security around them after warnings of possible attacks.

Hope they are caught soon. We can then ascertain who they were. This incident reminds me of the chilling attack on the IISc scientists in Bangalore. The most cowardly attack ever.

ISRO have some top notch security system, if am not mistaken. During my collage days back in India, one of the physics department faculty who got a job in ISRO was talking to us, students, that they have many layers of security check to enter their labs and stuff. So, I dont think it would be possible for these terrorist idiots to get into ISRO that easy. Even if they do, they are as good as dead!!!

As far as Pakistan is concerned i think we are not that much fool to plan a silly attack bwahahhaha for the first time someone fired in India on ISRO so easily and walked away.

Jana Indian security forces were on high alert from last week..there is a intelligence report of possible terrorist attacks on Cochin and other cities..Police is every where..i was introgated two times while coming to my room after cinema..police is not taking any chances..even commandos are deployed ..

As for ISRO is concerned security is in high alert all the time..its a target for all the terrorists group..and no body blamed Pakistan for the attack ..then why are you getting tensed??

but then evolution is a nice thing....
nobody should blame our proud neighbor...at least not right now...

As far as this incident the news clearly says that the police had stopped the persons and they fired. So likely in fear, as it happens in some cases.
