India was and is a Hindu rashtra. Majority should be given their due status

Majority will follow their Hindu religion, India is a majority Hindu Nation.
There is not much difference between Hindu Rastra and a state where Hinduism is practiced by Majority of its citizens. No GOD in Hinduism said if a Hindu do not practice his religion in Hindu rastra he will get benifits.

Hindu Philosophy is universal, teaches tolerance like any other eastern philosophies and is apt for today's global context.

Only issue is how many of them actually know the core philosophy and teachings. First thing to do is make people know about these things. The number is huge close to Billion Hindus.

If you have a good or somewhat good memory, when many Indians and Pakistanis were fearing that if Modi came to power India will be deprived of the strides you are mentioning in your above comment, while i was constantly saying that a fundamentalist Modi wont do anything foolish. All these fears are weak. So YES i am aware of the strides India is making on world stage and i am sure removing these 'useless' words in Indian case wont bring skies down.

I can assure you that given a big enough majority (which modi's current government is near to), they can attempt to both amend the constitution and also bully the courts into accepting it. BJP has that strain, especially under modi. The most nefarious thing they can do is make the amendment and unleash a debate in the SC for 50 years (like the Ram Janma Bhumi case). By the time the final revision comes, ground realities may change.
