BRO, Let all the shipments get piled at CTG port and be eaten up by mice. With the destruction of RMG's export, many lost values and morals would reshape the society back to its original form IMO. We need prosperity but not by the cost of deen and values. With the surge of RMG's export, the most primitive organization of our society, i.e., the family has been falling apart. Thus bastardization, de-francization, rootless ness are becoming pandemic. We don't need it with the tradeoff of $$, the direct beneficiary of which are new capitalists that are creating new form of class struggle in BD.

Speak English when speaking in int’l forum. As far as business is concern, they have to live within the reality of the country and people they live in. Expecting better situation for your business when overall situation of the country, people and economy that is in ruin is elitist, unrealistic and far out of place. Not to mention this is the type of elitist mentality pushed Bangladesh back because instead of push to solve root cause, elitist look easier solution that serve only their purpose. Besides, more than hartal, businessman themselves caused more harm to their business – by brutal treatment and death of workers, by looting from bank and by interfering in politics. After repeated occurrence of these despicable practices year after year and deadly cost to public, has anything solved by these businesses? Go search for solution to resolve the root cause rather than harping with fickle and elitist agenda. Otherwise, next generation will have to live with same despair.

It is becoming apparent that you and your elitist type now trying to hide behind small business BECAUSE when regime virtually destroyed business, reduced sales for small and big business alike, destroyed banking system, increased electricity price 6 times and caused more devastation over last 4 years, there was not much of crocodile tears for small business. When genocidal and oppressive regime shut all avenues for placing demand, protest and justice you elitist type were busy living selfish life, in self comfort zone. So don’t try to hide behind small business skin when you elitist looked the other way while regime already crippled their business and livelihood. BUT 90% of the population already stated they want caretaker govt which is the root of current contention. Now deal with it.

It was learnt that the US embassy in Dhaka had requested BNP not to enforce a general strike on Sunday as a high-level delegation of the United States would come to Dhaka to join the US-Bangladesh partnership dialogue that had begun on Sunday.
As the hartal was not withdrawn, Wendy had to revise her schedule and consequently dropped the schedule of her call on Khaleda, the sources said.

A person can choose any party. It is his birth right. Because a person has joined PDF, therefore, he is a Jamaati is not a good conclusion. How about the Indians, then? Are they also Jamaati by the same token?

If you are living in a western country like Canada you can get some knowledge about the delivery schedule there. Would you mind asking someone with scheduling knowledge. Is it OK to deliver goods at the end of August when it is supposed to be delivered in the beginning of June?

Let us make our statements in an objective way, please. People do not have to support Hartals although it is our way of life in the country. All the political parties are equally responsible for this.

Do you know that even in hartal we all have to go to work? All the Government and Private organization remain open, Hartal is a luxury for kids & cars . People even enjoy traffic jam free environment with a little risk of visit from Azrael Alaihi salam. The downside of the hartal is, its hurting the business and if this continues a lot people will loose their jobs. I hope we all miraculously got our job back when BNP forms next government as their is no problem of unemployment in our country.

And on the topic, its foolish of BNP to make USA angry as they are international "murubbi" and they have the power to make illegal government legal.

As if US don't know what's going on in this country? Here this sherman is very much openly supporting awami facism. Did they say a word regarding the banning of rallies in the capital, or the media outlets with opposing views shut down. It seems like they still view BD through the delhi prism or may be Delhi made some inroads in managing US. What business does she really have on whether BNP gives hartal or not. 2007 military coup wouldn't have been possible without US backing. Its better for BNP if they don't try to appease these guys. They will eventually side with the winning side regardless of what delhi wants. Though BNP sucks at organizing hartals but what alternatives do they have. BD is not a democratic country with rallies and media outlets banned along with most top tier opp. leaders in Jail.
