SHANGHAI, June 28 (Xinhua) -- Chinese navy's new destroyer, a 10,000-tonne vessel domestically designed and produced, was launched Wednesday at the Jiangnan Shipyard (Group) in Shanghai.

The destroyer is the first vessel of China's new generation of destroyers. It is equipped with new air defense, anti-missile, anti-ship and anti-submarine weapons.

The completion rate of this ship looks to be very high. It seems that all the key systems have been installed before the launch. I think that's the reason why the official announcement from PLA said, the next step work is 设备调试 (equipment adjustment). Compared to the 001A carrier launch in April, the PLA announcement of the new carrier said the next step work is 舾装 (outfitting) and 设备调试 (equipment adjustment).
