i am no pti fan boy but i agree with you taking advice from business community is a good thing and its govts job to facilitate and CONTROL businesses activities! businesses will always look for loopholes in the system and will always try and exploit them so govt has to balance good free business environment and also keep them in check!

Taxes what does it pay but imf loans taken by crooks at the top now common man has to pay up. i am for paying "fair just taxes" but i should be represented have a say and can do something if not happy and want to know where it was spent. The way i see it average man in pak does not get sh it for paying taxes no free healthcare no education nothing. **** it i ride donkey it better to live in the hills. majority of the roads are built by the people who ask thier relatives abroad to chip in so they can have short road to their house.

Squeeze the fvck out of people who are able to pay tax, but refuse to pay a dime. This is criminal and treason. Not a single country on this planet runs without tax contribution. A healthy tax system is the backbone of a thriving economy.

I understand PTI's challanges and approach. This is the first time in Pak history where a new government is trying to introduce a tax system in a nation where this was non-existent. Naturally people are dumbstruck and shaken.

Now the gloves should slowly, but surely come off. These people are not going to understand the language of decency. The government should use more forceful methods to get the message across. From wealthy businessmen to affluent segments of the society. Every person must contribute or penalties should follow. The government should start confiscating assets and other valuable belongings of wealthy tax evaders.

The only solution to deal with these anti state thieves is that customers demand them to show their tax registration before buying anything from them, no tax registration, no business. We are all in the same boat, no one who refuses to do his part should be allowed to stay on the boat.

Pakistan needs to promote debit cards and other banking services to eradicate this menace. This will have two benefits, first, it will make financial transactions much more transparent and easier to trace. Secondly, it will help curb down on street crimes, as very few people will be carrying huge amounts of cash so it there will be no incentive for criminals to risk their lives.
