What's new

shameful people speaking about Abdul Qadeer Khan

He has earned neither. Being a mole to get enrichment secrets is nothing new.. the Israeli's did that as well but unlike us they kept the mole quiet and did not have him start his own multi-million dollar business where he hands out rolexs to his employees on and off while foreign delegates are present there.

and a mole also gets his name in research labs infact

what you are suggesting is pakistan all got its nuclear power through black markets, chinese tech etc

and all pakistani nuclear scientists was just a means for a cover up for an international espionage and black markets chinese help etc

pakistani got missles made in china, korea

so you mean pakistani nuclear power status was achieved woth 2 numbri

Research labs that basically produce a copied centrifuge design.. and unlike PAEC cannot even come up with a bomb on time. Research labs that buy the Nodong missile from North Korea through blackmarket contacts and still cant make it work right after 11 years.
Face it, AQ Khan did a fine service to the country but he also reaped more than his just rewards.

.
@Oscar lay it bare before us :

(i) What did AQ Khan actually did for the country ?

(ii) How did he wrong the country ?

(iii) Is the KRL worth something ?

i understand those photo sessions of samar mubarakmand who took credits for our advancing missile tech is also a photo session guy

i hope its also true for other nuclear scientists

Incorrect.. the Shaheen is the missile series that were truly developed in Pakistan. So it is not just a photo-op.

. . .
Just shows how illiterate you are about Pak Nuke and missile program. You should visit others sub forums of this website often to know about other things as well

i think your pea sized brain does comprehend the argument going here

@darkinsky, abbay tu phirr apnee sharaton pay uttay aaya hai! :P

OT: AQ is a great scientist and our hero. Nothing more. If he deserves respect, I can name a dozen more who worked ten times more, offered their lives and yet nothing of their legacy exists in Pakistan. Pakistani population rarely elevates people based upon merit. Did you forget the contribution of Dr. Abdus Salam?

There are probably 100 more such individuals, I can count three dozen by heart.....

its also some chinese copy according to some sources

http://www.b14643.de/Spacerockets_1/Diverse/Dong-Feng/Dongfeng.jpg

The Shaheen-1 was a CSS-6 body(built in house) with redesigned internals and in house guidance based on procured blueprints.
The Shaheen-2 is an in-house design based on improvements to the Shaheen-I.
The Shaheen-1A is another redesign aimed at improving the REV and other parameters.
The Ghaznavi is the M-11 blueprint but again with engine , guidance and REV changes.

In contrast.. the Ghauri-I is the Nodong brought on ships.. and put into service without any changes to guidance. Moreover, KRL was not the "genius" behind this procurement but was the private company that could be used as a front for this purchase.
Later variants were tested with various guidance systems but the missile's internals remain mostly unchanged. Even later, KRL had to get help from NDC to actually give some finishing to these products.

And why are you interested in those SOME SOURCES? What are you trying to prove here? Making a nuke or ballistic missiles is not like making toy, if you believe only one man could do it on his own then you're definitely the world's biggest fool. Its a team effort of several genius top notch scientists alone with a massive support of technical staff, they all work hard for a period of time to achieve this goal.

Now please cut this crap now..

How about a similar "genealogy" for Indian missiles?

the scientists in pakistan were never honoured, those who contributed in space research, those who worked in physics with einstein, those who work in cern, those who contributed in chemistry like saleem uz zaman sidiqui are never known

if a pakistani wins cricket world cup gets all the honour and praise, irony isnt it

abdul qadir khan was honoured because a nation who didnt produce even a car made nuclear bomb and it fortified pakistan and pakistan since then never fought wars, so it had practical implications

you are being an idiot here, im nowhere saying that one man did all of this i have already explained how AQ khan was involved in uranium enrichment

dont be retard like rest of others

The "nculear bomb" work was done by three different labs, 400 different scientists. There were even three scientists who were more senior to AQ in regards to research, yet you don't even know they exist.

AQ was the "face" of the project that was marketed to the population. He is the symbol that we created, nothing more.

Do you think we wouldn't have succeeded if he weren't there? Of course we would have. When the first few cold tests (simulations) were carried out, he wasn't even informed. Now chew on that for the rest of your life.

For that I'd have to have interacted with certain personalities within the Indian defense industry.
However, this looks like a good source but is quite outdated and inaccurate in certain places as well.
As it states the Agni-1 as a failure and not deployed even through the contrary has happened.
http://www.fas.org/nuke/guide/india/missile/agni-improvements.htm

It asserts that the Prithvi is the result of a second attempt to create a weapon after attempts are reverse engineering the SA-2 for that purpose failed.

B.T.W

Pakistani members should take note of the very professional effort by Indians to make sure that the wiki pages about their systems usually contain content they would like to have their. The Agni page for e.g has links to B.R and mostly Indian pages.
By comparison, the Pakistani missile pages are littered with external and often incorrect articles.
