xie xie for the nice words, pengyou. I have met an Uyghur and we stay in touch via qq. Thanks to her i have a more objective view and learned that not all the bad news about the Uyghurs is true.
Have you been to Xinjiang? If i visit Shanghai or Beijing first and then go to Xinjiang, would it financially and time wise wiser to go by plane? or by train?
I will invite you dinner if you visit Shanghai, then you fly to Xingjiang. We can talk face to face.

We in AP/South tibet dont want the IA or any Indian security force in numbers. They are a threat to us and our dignity, especially our sisters.Wherever Indian soldiers go,rape and exploitation follow.
IA is not that popular in AP as some Indian members hype?

From what history teaches us, Uyghurs are not the only Turkic ethnic group in China. The variable present in Turkic history across Asia and Eurasia through the ages is that there have been moments of extreme hatred amongst Turkic groups even while sharing very similar languages and cultures, and at other times they banded together and conquered vast areas of land. Nothing is black and white in China.

There are many Muslim Chinese of Han lineage known as Hui. They are the descendents of 4,000 Arab cavalry who helped a Chinese emperor put down rebellions as well as Persian merchants and mingling with ethnic Turkic groups in China. The Hui Chinese have been famous as generals and the upper brass of the Chinese military for centuries. They have also been famous for massacring Kazakh and Uyghur minorities in ways that are too barbaric to mention here, of course in the name of state security. The Chinese have used the Hui to suppress the Turkic minorities and also to police them. After the Soviets failed to invade Xinjiang in the late 1940s with the help of Russian settlers, Mongols and Uyghurs, the Han Chinese started displacing the ethnic Uyghurs and slowly wiping out their culture.

With respects to the Turkish equation...while Turkey might pretend to be the champion of Turkic people everywhere, it is far from being the actual case. Turks don't even look eye to eye with Turkmens, Uzbeks, Kazakhs and Kyrghyz, so what can they do for Chinese citizens who want a Turkic state in the region? The Ottoman Empire was just one of many Turkic empires, and even while the Ottomans existed, large and powerful Turkic empires like the Timurids existed and fought them as well (in fact the Turkic Timurids who adopted Persian language and culture and whom later spawned Babur and the Mughal empire, took the Ottoman Sultan Beyzid prisoner of war). The Turkic world is too polarized for Turkey to imagine itself to be the protector of all things Turkic. People have to really learn their history to find out that there are divisions within the very large and complex Turkic world, and that Turkey is not the saviour and activist for suffering Turks even though it might seem that way.

I think PDF members do not correctly represent the diplomatic relationship between Turkey and China. From a neutral point of view it seems rather warm. I read a while ago that Turkey was considering buying some Chinese missiles instead of western ones despite strong protests from USA, don't know if that deal eventually went through or not.

The deal cancelled under pressure from the west.

I hope that Turkey could quit NATO so that It could cooperate it more fluently with China.

We will ensure Uyghers will be treated equally and nicely as they are Turkics.

China and Turkey don't have hate and dispute, we shall cooperate more.

I think Pakistan hope China and Turkey reinforce relationship and cooperation, cause they are islamic brothers.

IA and all Indian paramilitaries are seen as scum. The pic by @Raphael is what we all fear will happen to us when Indian soldiers come en masse in AP/south tibet. That is why no one-not the govt or people give them land to built further defensive positions and bases.
How do you perceive China? You wanna independent or merge with China?

We have good relations with China, dont mix personal feelings with governmental relations.
The Uyghur issue is China's internal problem, our sympathy for the Uyghurs is only because of their Turkicness and not because of their religion.
The underlined part is the only thing we Turks want.

It will really vary a lot depending on the person.Personally I would prefer merger as being in a union makes far more sense than being independent.

Your requirement is quite reasonable, it shows you are responsible Turkic state.

Turkey seeing itself as the champion of Turkic people is not correct. For starters, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan's presidents are far more vocal about the Turkic world. Also these countries propose more co-op between Turkic countries, while Turkey lags behind if you ask me. What Turkey does have, though, is more softpower projection. Turkic world is not that polarized. In the past religion and power were things that people worldwide fought for, but now these factors are not worth to fight for anymore, so i believe Turkics will come together once their individual situation improve more and more. Add to that the fact that nowadays thanks to internet and tv you can spread softpower easily. For example, Ottomans (Turkic Turkish sunnis) and Safavids (Turkic Azerbaijani shias) fought each other multiple times, but now the offspring of these people call each other '2 nations, 1 people' and Turkish soaps and music are famous among Azerbaijanis, even among Uyghurs as i heard. You can be assured that thanks to such softpower Turkics will slowly come together.

Turkey should see itself as the champion of the Turkic but right now it sees itself as a regional power that needs to cozy up with the Arabs. Turkey has strategically diverted from its past partnership with Israel and is now cozying up with the Arab world, which can be a good thing but is playing out as a bad thing. Hardly had time to dabble with the Assad and Syria issue and it backfired right in the kisser, in ways that are still being analyzed and dissected (especially now with the Kurdish factor involved). The Soft Power projection you referred to needs to be completely re-thought.

I Actually voted for the option - Xingjiang shall join Turkey.

America shall fall,
China shall Rise,
some specific minority group shall leave America and sacrifice its own people like they did before, this same minority group will go to china and play a similar role as they did in America.
Japan and Korea their futures are uncertain.
Russia at this moment has a chance to get on the right track.
Europe will have internal disputes, and their power shall shift from West to East Europe.
Turkiye shall Rise and will change the Middle-East, Caucasus, Balkans, Asia. ect.

China will be perform aggression, some nations and peoples shall suffer while the suffering of the Han and Assimilated will be minimized. And when China tries to be to confident it shall be purged and lose territories like Tibet and Xingjang.

Nato's lifetime is nearing its end. There is however a chance of a new military union appearing.

Key players : "Turkiye, Poland, Pakistan"
Additional Possibilities : "Turkic nations, Malaysia, Indonesia"
Unlikely(15%) Possibilities : "Russia, Egypt, Nordic nations, Mongolia"

Turkic nations completely under Russia's influence and control. Furthermore there is severe ethnic tension amongst the Turkic world.

Key player: Turkey -finding itself in a real hot mess.

Pakistan - Will always have an uphill battle with India, Iran and Afghanistan as neighbors and no clear direction for its future.

Poland - Within NATO's umbrella it is an incredibly important country

NATO is not going anywhere.

When America Falls, there will be no NATO left
America's Life Expectancy ~12 years

That's why it's not going to fall. That's one of the advantages of a military alliance amongst the most industrialized and prosperous nations on earth.

Occupation of East-Turkistan happened in the 1950. This is an illegal occupation and it is more recent occupation than occupation of Palestina. It is weird that some people would vote for independence of Palestina but would vote for the oppression of Uighur for their own benefit. :secret:

.
my answer is NO. even if the demand may justified but ground reality don't tell any possibility y that Uighur Muslim can get independence from china unless China give ten snatching independence from china will be bloody and almost impossible in my opinion because east Turkestan is in the location through where China import her fuel giving independence to that area or near by area is suicidal for China. if Uighur Muslims start any arms struggle for freedom with support from Turkey china will massacrer millions of Muslim mercilessly which ultimately destroy Muslim countries cordial relation with china which Muslim country can use as a counter weight against west . so my suggestion is demand greater autonomy and religious freedom and stop planed migration of han people is Uighur area and try to join with han community and CCP and part of a great future super power .
