Shaheen Air might shutdown

The second national carrier of Pakistan might shut down within a year.

According to sources Shaheen Air has laid off 50% of its cabin crew this morning and also deffered salaries until september.Earlier on this month the entire Airbus A319 (6 in total) fleet left Pakistan and has been subleased to Royal Jordanian..

Shaheen has a liability of 4 billion bank loan as well and is not going to perform Hajj operations this year..

It will have to declare itself bankrupt and give a notice of 3 to 6 months before closing down.
