What's new

Shahed-129 UCAV production line

I'm sure you eventually deploy the final product but I've heard the block a of the drone that's already deployed have some problem with weight and the engine can't provide enough power to carry on attack mission reliably and it was related to the problem with the camera that is already heavy for the drone and pull the nose down and that it prevent it from reaching the intended mission altitude if it carry ammunition ,wonder if its why you went for different variants ?
Indeed there were weight problem because of Aselflir-300T. But that wasn't preventing ANKA from flying missions. The problem was ANKA couldn't met the criteria set by our military..;

Technical Criteria of Military; 24H endurance, 30000 Ft altitude
What ANKA could perform; 18 H endurance, 23000 Ft altitude
Predator; 24 H endurance, 25 Ft altitude

Operational Altitude is 19000 Ft, so yeah it could have been deployed, it would have perform.

More to it A+ version have been made, which we haven't seen and perform to buyer countries. (carrying Cirit missiles)

B version was to achieve 24 H endurance and 30000 Ft altitude criteria, some modifications made, and criteria has been met.

Then Military changed again the criteria and wanted SATCOM on ANKAs, at this point Aselsan completed it's new generation flir, Aselsan CATS

....this will be the serial production version dubbed ANKA-S. Design completed, Maiden Flight has been made

ANKA-S is expected to enter inventory by 2017.

The stupid part here is yesterday there were some news like ANKA begin flying actual missions.

İnsansız Hava Aracı ANKA görevine başladı!

Keep P-003 in mind. It means prototype 3.

We have seen 8 prototypes. 8 th prototype was displayed in May 2015 in IDEF 2015

Prototype -3 has been made years ago...it's A version. It could always fly actual missions but some stupid decision makers decided on that just know.

Bayraktar TB2 UCAV
In June and August 2014 test flights, Bayraktar TB2 reached 27,000 feet altitude and stayed in air for 24 hours and 34 minutes. Bayraktar TB2 has wing span of 12 meters and max takeoff weight of 650 kg.

On 17 December 2015, missile system of Bayraktar TB2 UCAV was successfully tested. In the tests, long-range anti-tank missile UMTAS (diameter: 160 mm; target range: min 500 m, max 8 km) developed by Roketsan was used. Two UMTAS missiles (with each one 37.5 kg) were mounted to the both wings of Bayraktar TB2 UCAV. The 2x2m target panel was (with 100% accuracy and precision) hit from 8 km away and 16000 feet (about 5000m) altitude with laser guided UMTAS missile by the operator pilot in ground station. Thus, Turkey became the 6th country in the world that produces UCAV (USA: Predator, Reaper; China: CH-3 with shor-range AR-1 missile; Israel: Hermes; Iran: Shahed 129 with Sadid-1 missile, Pakistan Burraq Ucav with Burq Missile). On 18 December 2015, a video was published for the missile test of Bayraktar TB2.

Israel: Hermes

I see great potential here ....
three of these countries are Muslims . no wonder why USA and Israel want to keep Muslims countries divided by supporting hateful group like AQ , Al Nusrah , ISIS and so on ....
