The stability of SH15 is impeccable. The SH15 did not even budge unlike the above two Archer and Ceaser. It will be/is a Wonderful addition to our fleet.

Ideas 2018 , HIT , and this system ……. It look like we bought it with FULL TOT , which is good … we can not only make SH-15 but we can also be able to make only the Gun(as towed) …… And also the ammunition ...
So we have 300+(may be more because of Itlay's Spgs) Tracked base SPGs and 300 of Wheel base SPGs.. And we already have medium rang MLRS and Building Long Range MLRS in numbers ….. This will bring our Artillery to a complete new level..

Why do we/you compare this system with others (or what endia have) ..
This is brand new system ,, highly mobile , 50+KM range , can fire almost every thing available .. upgradeable in Future.. TOT .. no sanctions …. We can have 300 in 3 to 4 years ……. etc , etc …..

We shud look into A300s as MLRS

According to "The Book" we are building long range MLRS …… And I think we already have them.. And that too in good numbers (100+)..

Does anyone know what the barrel life of the SP15 is like, compared to the competitors it was evaluated against? Would be interesting to see where the chinese are interms of build and material quality compared to the west. The SP15 is of the latest generation of their technology.

Full TOT for the SP15 would be fantastic news, if true. Lets see.

Maybe , this is possible , because HIT showed the Gun in Ideas2018.... almost 1 year ago , so 36 is reasonable number , if we got them..

When it was on display during IDEAS 2018 it already had passed summer trials so news has to be true


We asked many senior guys during IDEAS 300 is less than what we were told we were given number of 500.

Not for LOC but they were saying total number required of Truck Mounted or let say wheeled based Artillery Guns is 500. Secondly brother we have Tanks deployed on top of mountains so on LOC there are lot of valleys where roads are there where these guns will be deployed and they have enough range to hit deep inside India and on border.

Tanks are not on LOC, they are deployed almost near where the LOC meets IB. You can look at the rest of the terrain yourself.

I am talking about Wazristan border when it comes to Tanks. Secondly on LOC there are various areas where these beasts can reach easily due to roads available now and also helicopters and other modes of transport. But yes on most LOC towed artillery guns are preferred and these 500 are also not all meant to be for LOC. They are also meant to be used in Punjab and other regions of Pakistan

Pakistan has 300 units of M115, M198, M114 and Type 59-1, that is about 6 artillery briadges, and they may be depolyed in I, II, IV, XXX, XXXI and V Corps. With new introduced SH-15, these artillery briadges can become mobile troops, and old towed gun can be transferred and form 1 independent artillery division under force command norther areas and two independent artillery bridages under XI and XII Corps.

Just noticed SH-15 ground clearance is very less for operating in rugged area . it should have more ground clearance to operate smoothly in rugged region .
