Pakistan had been looking for similar Howitzers for some time now . We tested artillery pieces from South Africa,Serbia,Turkey, China and other countries. In our current economic scenario, i think the Chinese SH-15 is the best option.

Turkey ? Yavuz is a smaller caliber SPH, dont think they tested it.

They tested SH, Denel & Serbian guns though.

Some body must be feeling the pinch,I wish the purchase helps

These howitzers are highly mobile platforms used to supplement the armored regimental groups in their offensive maneuvers in plain battlefields. LoC is never a suitable terrain and Pak Army is more professional than anyone so this news is either true to some extent or completely fabricated by OSINTs.

I think its the man behind the machine that matters. India has historically always procured expensive and modern weapons than us. Even when the Indians were using the state of the art Bofors during the Kargil conflict ,our vintage M series guns gave them a befitting and accurate response.

What is the timeframe of procurement of these things generally for a quantity of 300 ? I am not into land forces that’s why asking? Means delivery of last unit

usually chinese deliver stuff with in a few weeks. if this was from PLA inventory it would b faster. but i don't think pla has these yet. i could be wrong.

in 2002 Chinese Airforce lent pakista 90 F7PG aircraft from their inventory with in 1 day. this is not 2002 it is 2020. think big. as friendships and reliance has grown so have the assets.
