As for firtina, that’s basically a Korean K-9.

POF already makes 155mm shells

Firtina is a fully auto and armour SPH. It's cost is few times higher compare truck mount howtizer. The reason why PA goes for this unit definitely cost budget is a factor taken into consideration.

India is already getting K9s with max range of 40km. They are getting M777 and has increased range of Dhanush to approx 30km. The latter both are a bigger threat to us as towed artillery is usually deployed on LOC
