At least seven security personnel were injured in a landmine blast in Khyber Agency’s Tirah Valley on Wednesday.

The blast came a day after the Pakistan Army launched Operation Khyber-III in Rajgal Valley to reinforce deployment of troops along the Pak-Afghan border to effectively check movement of terrorists.

Army mounts Khyber-III to secure Pak-Afghan border

The operation was launched in the valley tucked deep in high mountains with all-weather passes in Khyber Agency, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement. Large dumps of arms and ammunition and terrorist hideouts were precisely targeted in air raids and ground operations in the treacherous terrain, it added. Nine dens of terrorists were decimated.

The military said 14 terrorists were killed and 11 wounded in the blitzkrieg. However, it would not say which groups the terrorists belonged to. The Mangal Bagh Afridi-led Lashkar-e-Islam religious extremist group and some factions of the proscribed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan had a strong presence in the region before the previous operations were launched.

Afghanistan, Pakistan agree on ceasefire along Torkham border

The operation will reduce cross-border movement of terrorists, according to the ISPR. The offensive is a part of Pakistan’s efforts to ensure effective border management to check infiltration of terrorists, who shuttle between Pakistan and neighbouring Afghanistan.

The military has successfully routed terrorists from the tribal areas, including North Waziristan Agency, where local and foreign terrorists once held sway. But terrorists still maintain some hideouts close to the porous border. Security officials said the operation in Rajgal Valley would squeeze the space available to fleeing terrorists in the border region.

Warfare in this terrain is lethal. I hope constant exposure to this warfare leads to development of new tactics and not just equipment.
May Allah grant swift recovery to the injured troops, and an even more swift defeat to our enemies.

.
Our long war continues---but the only difference is that we have pushed the enemy to the farthest limits of our territory, have over-taken their bases, ran over their recruitment/training centers, and have destroyed their ammunition factories and supply lines--Mashallah!

May Allah bless these brave souls with Jannat! Ameen.

Hmm So a total of 3 Pakistani security personnel have been killed as 2 Pakistani soldiers have died in a blast in Khyber agency and one police official was killed in a blast in Naseerabad, Balochistan.
But all Indians here are condoning the deaths whereas Pakistanis are celebrating the deaths of 3 Indian security personnel in Kashmir, shows who are more civilized.

We are fighting the remnants of india backed terrorism and have dismantled it in our country.

You are occupying and oppressing Kashmir and Kashmiris who are fighting back against your occupation

Big difference

Please spare me this nonsense I hardly comment on death articles and threads. The thread you are referring to I had a debate with Oscar that was totally irrelevant to death of Indians or whatever.

Using your logic we can say that we are fightingt remnants of Pakistan backed terrorism in Kashmir and you guys are occupying and oppressing tribals of Khyber agency.

YOu are funny... so Pakistani soldiers died near Afghan Border by Landmine planted by Either Pakistani forces or Afghan forces... but all that has to do something with India and Kashmir....

Using your logic we can say that we are fightingt remnants of Pakistan backed terrorism in Kashmir and you guys are occupying and oppressing tribals of Khyber agency.

You could say that but it would be a lie,

When we have curfew for months, with hundreds of thousands attending the funerals of militants, with the people raising the flags of our enemy and burning ours

Then it would be comparable, as it is we are clearing all terrorists as this operation was to do just that, hence any injury or death is regrettable whilst you are occupying and oppressing Kashmir against its will so any death of your soldiers is a death in aid of oppression and occupation

No dear....we are not oppressing local people, we are liberating them from terrorists...U should see the difference when Pakistanis don't express their sympathies....

If any Indian soldier dies in accident or any other reason, you will see Pakistanis showing their sympathies but whenever any Indian soldier dies in Kashmir, Pakistanis don't show their condolences because they know what your people in uniform are doing Kashmir....

According to them, you have just killed and blinded hundreds of people in recent weeks, only two casualties of Indians are far too less compared to what Indians deserved or have done...

Keep this civilization title with elsewhere, buddy. No need to score point and feel good when reality is hard and bitter and Indians are not ready to face it...

I feel for Indians...By killing Burhan Wani, you guys have just started chain reaction, no one in this region have any idea when it is gonna stop....

May Allah bless these jawans with peace in their graves and heavens....You won't be forgotten...:pakistan:
