I've never seen Chinese officials being so informal and openly friendly with anyone in front of cameras.

I have heard the press brief like this first time.
Chinese praised pakistans independent and free foreign policy that is taken for Pakistan own interest.
This type of statements unheard of.
Now it is clear that saudis pressurised pakistan to slow cpec and offered investment in return. Shame those investment never came.
So this is a stretegy of Pakistan. Foreign minister giving strong statement ehile army cheif going to try to form some kind of settlement.
