No there not......you would like them to be though.

....the GOI cannot compromise on territorial integrity ( a domestic matter ) in exchange for any "international status " symbol......in the face of our sovereignty

So that why the UN has people on the LOC and kashmir comes up as a disputed area in international maps?

Kashmir comes out disputed now and in time J&K will come out in Indian colours ....so called AK / GB in Pakistani colours ...and AS portion in Chinese colours......

meanwhile the world wont wait for the kashmir issue to be resolved ,before India is asked to take up responsibilities at the SC. Compared to the issues on the merit of which we lay a claim to a permanent veto seat at the U.N , Kashmir prob is nothing more than a pinprick.....

Maybe your right....but i would say that the detractors to indian being made a member of the SC would bring up the issue of kashmir.
You must admit it sounds a bit hypocritical that you wont impliment UN resolutions but you want to a member of the SC.

Maybe your right....but i would say that the detractors to indian being made a member of the SC would bring up the issue of kashmir.
You must admit it sounds a bit hypocritical that you wont impliment UN resolutions but you want to a member of the SC.

The colors in the map does not matter. What matters is the ground reality and both of us know who controls different parts of Kashmir

Also its a futile arguement of hypocrisy that you are bringing in since even UN now considers that resolution as one past its shelf life. The same is visible in the recent statements of the sec gen of the UN and the US administration (that pretty much controls most of the stuff that goes on in the UN)

Kashmir is as integral part of India as New Delhi or Amritsar or Banglore.

Entire state of Kashmir is legal and integral part of India. International community has no right to put pressure on us and neither will we take it lying low. If UNSC, nuke deal, NSG rights and even king of the world title was given to us in a gold platter, we won't relinquish the state.

Those who've problems with us; can leave for any country they like we can then easily begin the resettlement of Pandit community that was nearly exterminated 22 years ago.
