SDU develops electromagnetic weapon system

SDU or Suleyman Demirel University Plasma Research Laboratory developed a system that can be used in the defense industry.
A university for the first time in Turkey, developed a system can destroy remote power systems without link by transferring high-power electromagnetic waves.

Lutfi Oksuz, SDU Associate Professor, Department of Physics, Faculty of Arts and Sciences told "For the first time in Turkey, a high-power, high-wave microwave system developed with the support of our partners Canada and the U.S.

"High-power microwave systems used in the defense industry" Assoc. Oksuz, said: ""Our system is very powerful. The wars of the future will not be fought on the battlefield with bombs or chemical systems, it will be with electromagnetic systems. What we mean by electromagnetic weapon is redirected high power-high frequency waves. Through routed waves a fighter can be taken down and a country's power plants can be knocked down also it can cause destruction of telecommunication systems, satellites, electric systems, defence systems of any country. Another application of such systems is Ray Gun developed by US which is make feel like burning on human skin at 95 GHz."

If you ask my opinion, this is a big progress and such systems must be supported by SSM, i wish them luck on this way and hope we can protect our brilliant brains this time (Aselsan engineers)

Good work but EMP is old.....Grids are a possibility but military grade Stuff is heavy EMP shielded now a days if not it very easy to do so ...most of what u will fry are some home Computers and electronics.

Yes, thats what i thought exactly after reading the article..But things progress slowly, so thats a good start for us imho..This field of tech is new to us

According to SSM EMP bombs will be ready as well as HPMW weapons.
