Scotland complete a huge T20 World Cup upset.

Bangladesh, 6th in the ICC T20I team rankings, had the Scots 53-6 at one point. Since then, Scotland have been near-flawless, and complete perhaps the most significant win in their history by six runs.

Chris Greaves starred with bat and ball as Scotland shocked Bangladesh with a six-run win on the opening day of the Twenty20 World Cup on Sunday.


Greaves’ 28-ball 45 guided Scotland to 140-9 and he then took two key wickets with his leg spin to keep down Bangladesh to 134-7 in the second first-round match of the day in Muscat.


Pace bowler Brad Wheal returned figures of 3-24 as world number six Bangladesh suffered an early setback in their fight to make the Super 12 stage.

Australia always chokes in T20s and Srilanka? they are playing qualifiers along with Bangladesh, so yes they are just as bad as them.

If Bangladesh was that good they wouldn't have been playing qualifiers. So yea question you should ask yourself how did they end up playing against non ranked team for qualifiers? Then you will get your answer. Certainly not gambling or anything.

I do think they would qualify though.

Australia sent their C team to Bangladesh and they were defeated on a spinning track for T20s in Bangladesh. I mean in the entire series none of the teams managed to go pass a score of 120 in a T20 tells you what kind of pitches they were.

This was a wake up call for Bangladesh players. Usually, these type of upset defeats have a way of invigorating the team to perform well in tournaments. Let's see if that pans out for Bangladesh.
