Scientific revolution in Iran!

What scientific revolution? What a bogus joke. Be realistic, fake and illegal nationalism won't get muslims anywhere. I am hearing same stuff about saudi arabi too. If thats the case then i guess muslims should stop studying in Oxford and Howard and migrate to some iranian university.

did you look at any of the damn articles? They weren't by me lol
And you're right, there is nothing going on in KSA, as the articles and charts state.

You are assuming that Iran is after nukes! This is absolute none sense! The Americans reported that Iran stopped its weapons program in 03. Also checkout the military spending and compare to education spending. It's almost half of what Iran spends on education!!! compare this to Pakistan for example. Pak spends 7 times more on its military than it does on education. Right here you know what the Iranian regime wants for Iran's future.

Iran needs energy and it needs it now. Burning gas and oil is the most stupid and idiotic move Iran can make. It's basically burning liquid gold.

1) Iran can use these raw nat resources for export.

2) Iran started its nuke program during the times of the shah. BILLIONS HAVE ALREADY been spent. We already have a functioning reactor and another one is being completed in Arak. Western countries have tens of nuke reactors. Even oil and nat resource rich countries like Canada, US and Russia.

3) Iran doesn't have much water and building dams can only give so much electricity.

4) solar energy is extremely expensive and its output is no where near the output of nuclear energy.

MOST IMPORTANTLY however is the fact that Iran has already spent money on the nuke program. There is no turning back when the money is spent. Western countries need to stop believing every idiotic claim made by Israel and the neo cons in the US.
Yesterday in French channel there was a program about Georges Besse assassination.
The theory was that he was killed by Iran's will to revenge because France took time to provide enriched Uranium
sadly there was no proof just and much ignorance about the nuclear program of Iran.
but it is not true that we could trust the regime and believe they didn't try to make a bomb. the problem is that when you avoid visits for checking, when you do provocations, it doesn't allow foreigners to believe Iran.

About solar pannels, i heard one story which is among many indeed the same kind of.
Someone wanted to invest in solar pannels in Iran a few years ago. The sepah threatened him and finally said he would not be allowed to compete with their own company. It could be interesting for Iran to invest in solar pannels technology: if it is interesting for Germany it means it is more interesting for us. But another market that the regime destroys.

hopefully the Islamist pigs meet their creators sooner than later so we can erase some of the lost time with increased oil production. They're like parasites. Their brains work in mysterious ways that nobody can really understand.

Shame on you Abii. You are so racist. Offending over a billion devout muslims just shows how poor your intellectual level is. I am sorry for you, and people like you. The same Islamists you despise so much have put Iran where it is today, by formulating successful policies. Otherwise when Iran had a capitalist, pro-western, secular government before revolution Iran was backward. Only when Iran embraced Islam, it started to rise up. This is the truth proved by statistics such as the ones you have put up there. Iran in 1977 used to produce just 0.0003% of world's science and technology. Today it produces over 1.2%. Mullahs have done that. Not Shah. Not seculars. Let me tell you something here. You claim that Iran is going to progress once mullahs are gone. But Iran is already having the fastest progress rate in the world. As per your stupid claim Iran is going to become faster than fastest. Which means fastest again. I think Iranians should stop falling to the traps set up by Americans for their progress with the help of dis-informants like you and keep continuing whatever they are doing. They should not give the successful system they have developed for some dream being promoted by people like you. South Korea for your information has not yet been able to launch a satellite but Iran has, and South Korea has given up its sovereignty by allowing American bases on its land. I do not think it is advisable for Iranians to choose the same path.

The Abii opinion reflects the young people of Iran.
Sadly we go on with hatred in our country. I don't know if we can see a country with civil peace one day.
When i see all comments anti Islam and the other side the stupid so called said Islamic words from Iran,
there is so much about lies and hatred.

No during shah it was a big transformation for economy but far less for democracy and for education.
More than half university Iranians are ... girls ! At least this is a good point. There are some good points.
If we hate Khamenei for most Iranians, it should not mean that everything the regime did should be said to be bad.

I see here in Europe some communists (i have nothing against communists by the way) say bullshit stories about treatments
convenient to get a visa.
I see as well royalists and other dictator minded groups... who are saying to Iranians inside: "go go for revolution !
we wait here behind our computer and when it is finished you'll need us"

USA supporting more and more the terrorist organization of Radjavi sect
Our country is in a cheat hell

This is the reason some people need to believe we are so great. Because we have big problems.

Do you think all these scientific achievements are due to the mullahs or nationalist individuals within the ruling elite? Not everybody in the Islamic Republic has the same vision as the bearded baboons rulling the country. My hope is to one day work as a politician in Iran, even if this regime is still in power. Yet I don't support the regime and I don't even consider myself Muslim. Many proud Iranians within the establishment gladly grow a beard and act the part so that they can help the country. The people of Iran are ultimately responsible for the good things happening in Iran. If you think about it, the shah and his father created the spine of modern Iran. They were the ones that destroyed feaudalism/tribalism and modernized the country. The infrastructure was more or less built by the shah. The mullahs did absolutely NOTHING until the mid 90s. Even baboons like Nejad don't agree with the mullahs.

You are completely wrong. Infact it was mullahs who have invested in Iran's science and technology. Shah only used to import stuff and even engineers and doctors. Iran even used to import Pakistani engineers and doctors. That is what happens to countries that are not independent and have access to American access. As for your hyperbole that all this progress is being done by nationalists, I must say that the nationalists failed when Shah was in power. Nationalism is good but the kind of nationalism you are talking about is blind nationalism which is useless. If mullahs are against science and technology, then why they have invested so much in it. Why as per your claims, the mullahs have not stopped Iran's progress. Surely they are capable of doing it. You are a hypocrite who is just anti-Islam. The fact is that Iran is the clear example that Islam is pro-science. It was Khamenei who promoted stem cell research in Iran while Bush and Christians were against it in USA. It was the mullahs who provided the budget for research in science and technology not Shah. If anything the secularists like yourself and Americans are against Iran's progress in science and technology. People you are supporting here are the ones who are attacking Iranian infrastructure and killing Iranian scientists. The only things Shah built was just for show. During the Shah's time Iran could not even train its pilots and used to send its cadets to Pakistan for training. So stop lying. I believe Pakistan should learn from Iran that Islam is pro-science and it is not necessary for Pakistan to give up its foundation to become modern since Pakistan is founded on Islam. The only difference is that Iran has found the true Islam as opposed to Pakistani mullahs who are thriving on a false Islam. Your assertions that nations should give up Islam and become nationalist and secular is doomed to fail as history has shown. Iran has progressed because mullahs are in power. Any secular government in Iran will bring ruin and will stop all forms of progress except in sexual freedoms.

Keep underestimating Iran.
Iran is a great nation but the mullahs are dragging Iran down. If you try to get past that you will realize the true potential of Iran. Iran's oil production has been falling for some time due to a lack of investment and new discoveries. Iran also has the second biggest nat gas reserves on the planet and they are virtually untapped. Iran's undiscovered oil fields (the Americans have been busy in the past 32 years applying the latest techs to find new fields in arab countries while in Iran new discoveries have been very limited) plus its extremely large gas fields, combined with the scientific growth can help Iran leap frog in the next couple of decades. If the regime changes and the sanctions are removed, Iran can become one of the top 6 economies on the planet in absolutely no time. Afghanistan, Pakistan etc... will all benefit from this.

We didn't notice this revolution during the secular rule of Shah, did we? Now, what does that imply?

Iran is top of the world in science growth

22:00 28 March 2011 by Andy Coghlan

Which country's scientific output rose 18-fold between 1996 and 2008, from 736 published papers to 13,238? The answer – Iran – might surprise many people, especially in the western nations used to leading science. Iran has the fastest rate of increase in scientific publication in the world.

And if political relations between Iran and the US are strained, it seems that the two countries' scientists are getting on fine: the number of collaborative papers between them rose almost fivefold from 388 to 1831 over the same period.

A rapid rise in Middle Eastern, Chinese, Indian and Brazilian science stands out from a report published this week by the UK's Royal Society, comparing global publication and citation rates between 1993 and 2003 with those between 2004 and 2008. Like Iran, other, smaller players are also stepping up their research activity. Turkey, for example, quadrupled its output between 1996 and 2008, after increasing sixfold its funding for R&D. Similar trends emerged in Tunisia, Singapore and Qatar.

On the broader scientific stage, the established leaders in the US, Europe and Japan still dominate, but their ascendency is being eroded by rapidly industrialising countries. So while the proportion of papers with US authors has slipped from 26 to 21 per cent, China has risen from sixth to second place with 10.2 per cent of the authored papers, up from 4.4 per cent in 1996. India and Brazil are rising rapidly too.

"The leading nations are not getting weaker," says Chris Llewellyn Smith, chair of the panel that produced the study. "Rather, I would say we're seeing a rise in other nations into the big league," he says.

Marking the growth of science as a global enterprise to solve global problems, Llewellyn Smith says that collaborative papers have risen from a quarter to more than a third of all papers published. "To solve a global problem, you need data from all round the world, and this helps to unify the scientific voice geographically," he says. "So I think we can all benefit from this, to solve global problems."
